Throughout the past 12 months, the Tallahassee Police Department has repeatedly said this case is a priority.

TPD Chief Lawrence Revell is expected to speak with the media about the case on Monday. In previous interviews, detectives and a TPD spokesperson have elaborated on some of the aspects that have made Paige’s case unique.

According to TPD, Paige did not have a known digital footprint to track at the time of her disappearance. However, a spokesperson shared in February “even with a minimal digital footprint, we still have to comb through evidence online.”

Details of Disappearance Lori was last seen in 1200 block of Continental Court in Tallahassee, Florida on June 2, 2023. She had a history of running away from home, but would always return after a short time period. After her June 2023 disappearance, she was never seen again.

Lori has relatives in Thomasville, Georgia; in Nashville, Tennessee; and in Tampa, Florida. She was a student at Griffin Middle School at the time of her disappearance. Few details are available in her case.

I get so angry and upset when LE doesn't take a 12 YEAR OLD runaway seriously!!!! How is she supposed to take care of herself? Buy food? Live? Yet here it is, over a year has gone by, and nothing but crickets. What is the problem? And why did she repeatedly run away from home, yet was considered "a good and attentive student"?

Not sure if this link will work, but the East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers page posted in mid July about Lori and put an update as of 8/5 with possible sightings of her in that area. It says they believe she may be in the Knoxville area and to call the FBI or them. They also have a picture of her that we had not seen locally but was apparently a picture Tallahassee police had from a visit to their home.

TPD: Lori Paige found dead, father arrested in connection to her death after nearly two-year search

Before the discovery of her remains, the middle schooler was last seen in the Continental Court neighborhood in Tallahassee in June 2023.

Lori Paige was found dead over the weekend, and her father has been arrested in connection to her death, according to Tallahassee Police.

New information eventually emerged about Wiley’s relationship with Paige, which police said caused detectives to shift their focus more heavily toward him.

Around that same time, detectives started searching a “remote, brush-covered area of Thomas County, Georgia, known locally as a plantation,” according to TPD’s press release. Despite conducting multiple searches, no results were found.

However, on April 5, police said detectives returned to the plantation for another search after a prescribed burn cleared heavy brush in the area. That’s when Paige’s remains were located.

As I suspected, murdered by her family member, her own father. No wonder she kept running away. She was trying hard to survive but couldn't overcome her perpetrator.
