Lori Lynn Upthegrove, 51, of Titusville was reported missing Tuesday, but she was last seen Sunday at her home on Cleveland Street. Timothy Upthegrove was arrested Wednesday on a charge of resisting a law enforcement officer without violence. Police said an officer investigating Lori Upthegrove's disappearance located Timothy Upthegrove at a Days Inn on Cheney Highway. He was driving his wife's vehicle, a 2003 Isuzu Rodeo. Timothy Upthegrove said his wife drove away from their home Monday morning, and he later found her vehicle Tuesday abandoned in front of a store. Timothy Upthegrove later said that he "needed to come clean" and said his wife threw her car keys at him on Monday and he's had the vehicle ever since.

Lori Upthegrove was described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 150 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen by family members.

According to the report, information uncovered during the investigation led police to suspect that Lori may have been met with foul play.

Timothy is being held in the Brevard County jail on the resisting charge. His bond is listed at $500.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Titusville Police Department at 321-264-3972.

While police said they suspect foul play in Lori’s disappearance, investigators have not named her husband as a suspect.

Timothy Upthegrove has a history of run-ins with the law.

In 2003, he was arrested in a domestic violence case where a girlfriend claimed he grabbed a crow bar and "began to strike the victim numerous times in the head" and said "I'm going to kill you.
He was acquitted on the “serious” charges after investigators said the victim wouldn't testify.

In 2008, Timothy Upthegrove pleaded guilty to domestic violence after another wife, who was pregnant, said he sat on her stomach and “choked her with both of his hands."

Timothy Upthegrove*is being held on $1,500 bail.

She disappeared with her SUV and he just happened to find it abandoned at some store? But, story changes again. Ugh! Please don't let her have come to harm by his hands. I hope she ran for safety from him, but this looks really really bad!

Well he sounds charming. How is someone like that held on only $1500 bail? And what was he doing at that Days Inn? I mean, your wife throws her keys at you (story #2), and what, you drive to the Days Inn?

He's only charged (currently) with obstructing the investigation.....therefore the low bail. Guess It was enough since he's still in jail.

Officers said detectives located the body believed to be that of 51-year-old Lori Lynn Upthegrove in a wooded area off Bobbi Lane using information provided by her husband.

Timothy Upthegrove, 53, of Titusville, was arrested Tuesday and charged with obstruction of justice after he lied to authorities, police said.

After finding evidence in her home and vehicle, Titusville police said they believed Lori had been the victim of a violent crime.
Officers said Sunday that detectives believe the couple had gotten into an argument at their home Monday before Timothy killed her, put her body in the back of her vehicle, which was found in his possession before his arrest, and hid it in the woods.
The Police Department filed paperwork with the State Attorney's Office Sunday, charging Timothy, who was already being held at the Brevard County Jail, with second-degree murder, a spokesperson for Titusville police told News 6.

A 59-year-old man in Florida will spend the remainder of his life behind bars for killing his wife, beating and stabbing the 51-year-old woman to death inside their home, hiding her body in the woods, and destroying evidence of his crime before later telling authorities that his wife was “in heaven.”

Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Steven Henderson on Thursday ordered Timothy A. Upthegrove to serve a sentence of life in a state correctional facility for the 2017 slaying of Lori Upthegrove, authorities announced.

Before being sentenced, a Brevard County jury deliberated for about nine hours before finding Timothy Upthegrove guilty on one count each of first-degree premeditated murder, tampering with evidence, and failure to report a death.
