Re: theories about SS sending JS a video of MS getting dressed. Not arguing the point, but that is just so wildly inappropriate. A grown, non-related male taking a video of your 13yo getting dressed? I certainly hope not.

And while JS may have been allegedly naive, I have seen the online info in more than one place that her own father threatened to kick her out of the free condo if she didn't offload SS; true or not, SS obviously wasn't invited to the family birthday party, either. If JS didn't organically realize SS was problematic, it certainly seems that her own family may have made it crystal clear to her.

Exactly. From Hunter's Creek Middle School to the Insurance office it's a 16min walk.

A few things that JS and SS Both Say.... that give me alarm bells:

- I'm a wreck = they BOTH say this
- Maddie doesn't want to ride in Stephan's car cuz it's a phase she's going through... Jenn says it too? Why? What?
- The whole "hibiscus flowered grey backpack" description. It's so much detail. Too much.
- They both seem united in the whole green hoodie/white crocs thing. IF I HAD NOT SEEN my child in the morning.... I would not confidently declare the outfit to law enforcement! Period.

You and I picked up on the same things.

They both also say "and that was it."

  • Jen Soto only began to rock back and forth after her family told her that Madelines laptop should be traceable.
  • Why exactly was Stephan at this party, but not Jennifer?

  • I believe that Stephan strangled her to death.
Why?

Well, apart from the usual power & control aspect of it all...
Jennifer Soto stating, "I feel like I can't breathe."
in one of her interviews, continues to strike me as odd.

I'll have to look again but I think JS was rocking well before the laptop came up.

Also I'm not sure it's been confirmed officially that Stephan was at the birthday party.

I believe you are correct; my understanding was that the grandmother had specifically said that he wasn't there, in one of the interviews (I may be misremembering, but I think she was surprised that he was even in town), and also he specified in one interview that he arrived "after the party."

He repeats that Maddie was rummaging through her backpack and he thought she was looking for her headphones and it was just like every other day.

Well, you rarely drop her off according to you, so how do you know what every other day is like?
Using headphones without cellphone - does it make sense? Her cellphone "she had forgotten" at home.

During body cam videos- Js hand movements and positioning are intriguing. I don’t know what to make of it .
me neither....the rocking, the finger thing...

This ! Yes. What if she was injured somewhere? And they could have had time to save her. Why is there no initiative to search?
While waiting for police to arrive to gran’s office, where was JS and what was she doing?

At what time did she contact friends from school? How long did the process take? I understand her need to meet with Le in person so that made sense that she did so. But what else did she do exactly? She told the officer she went to school. She wasn’t there. She said something about an announcement having been made (or did I misunderstand her saying this??). She says she went to gran’s office bc sometimes Ms would walk there but denies the child would have known where her friends lived (only dealing with the initial contact body cam video we saw yesterday). She denied that there were any other places nearby MS may have gone to. So what else did she do? Did she just sit at her mom’s office waiting for Le with her other fam members? I’m not sure what else I expect her to have done to really. Maybe I thought she’d say she drove around the school looking as she called people? Or that she checked the local mall? Pizza place? Just not sure what I think she should have done but somehow maybe sitting at her mom’s office seems wrong - unless - maybe the police advised her to wait there for an officer to show up so she did just that? If so, what was SS doing? Why couldn’t he have been on the lookout patrolling?? At what point did these clowns abuse drugs for anxiety that night???

IIRC, 911 was called at 4 something that afternoon.

That doesn't allow much time for JS to contact Maddie's friends, or their parents, to see if any of them knew where she was.

IMO, because they knew exactly where she was, and in what condition. So in a nutshell... there was no urgency or need to search for her. :(
I just want her home / back - whatever that looks like (rough quote of JS in the media interview done via webcam from her home while MS was still “missing”.

Said the same woman who didn’t go out to look for her as other family were doing so. Waiting for her daughter who didn’t know her address. Waiting for them to find her, while telling the media they wouldn’t find her where they were looking.

You know who says you won’t find her where people and police are looking? Someone who knows she isn’t there.

Someone who didn’t know where the child was and was hopeful would probably be holding up a photo of the kid and encouraging the world to stop and find the kid!

Ugh i made a video of it but it won't upload..
If you watch this body cam video, she begins to rock at approx. 1:38.
Before this, she was standing straight like a tree.
**Which is also the same time she was informed they should be able to track the laptop.

I've never stated that I consider her either naive, or a victim of life and/or SS.

I have however stated repeatedly, that the facts we currently have show there isn't any actionable evidence that the public is aware of, to charge her with a crime.

jmo
I guess interpretation of the child endangerment laws are subjective (to LE, not you specifically). Some may see her prior actions (sending her to sleep with her man alone in another room) as placing her at risk of harm (physical, sexual, emotional). Some may see it as a parent trying to settle an upset child. I see it as abuse and I believe that is actionable and I believe they should action it to the fullest extent of the law.

If that isn’t actionable then I would implore lawmakers to re-evaluate the laws and figure out how to strengthen the child protection laws in such a way that provide clarity and allow LE and the state to prosecute parents who are making such poor decisions for their kids.

Only if he claims he didn’t know she didn’t have her phone until sometime later in the day or claimed they were to use with her school computer.

They may be able to prove child engagement/neglect. lying. obstruction.
I think @Ontario Mom is asking where is the evidence that shows she knew about the S/A's and/or was involved or covered up a murder. or what she "should have known".
if you let your 5 yr old child play in the front yard when you live on a busy street , a reasonable person would know thats dangerous. or if I leave my kid in the car on a hot summer day, or go into a bar leaving a child in the car, a reasonable person should know those risk factors. Would that same principle apply here?

I would love to have been a fly on the wall when LE asked JS, when did you first realize that Maddie had forgotten her phone that day?

Oh, come on.. You know she didn't contact anyone..
She said something about an announcement having been made (or did I misunderstand her saying this??).
She said it was something like.. Whenever she went to pick her up from school, and she wasn't there? Maybe an announcement stating there were no more kids..? I was unclear of this, too

I believe they were relying on using the 3rd person perp defense and getting away with it, which is why they CONTINUOUSLY discussed "Please bring her home" along with shutting out any other theories.
& yes, in her other interview she stated how (paraphrasing)

"Im just waiting on her to come home... if you see this madeline please know i love you and please just whoever.. dont hurt her"

She had also brought up in an interview how.. "she had been diagnosed with autism then she was retested and said its just a few autistic traits so take that info as you will" ----W.H.A.T?!

Something else I noticed.. Was how in the bodycam footage, she says how
"She was so happy! She showed us all of her gifts"

...us? but you werent there? who talks like that?

They already said she lied whenever she said that she watched Madeline get ready for school that day; because, she was already dead..

I said this at the very beginning, that when she says she SAW MS getting dressed, it could have been a 'selected' video that SS sent her. I mean, her saying she saw her getting dressed, when told it was a video of that morning is not a lie from her if that's the case.
Many people have based their guilt of JS on the fact that she saw her getting dressed for school at around 8, but she couldn't have. Yet, if she did actually watch a video while at work, why would she believe it wasn't from that day unless told it wasn't?
Ok if he had such a video that he had sent her, why not give that to the officer when asked for a photo? She could have said I have a clip that shows what she left home wearing this morning and a still shot - and provided one or both. She didn’t. Instead, she scrolls something to locate a photo from the party. SS also didn’t advise he had a video clip of her to share with Le (though later those were found and got him caught by Le).

Imo, she didn’t see a video of her daughter getting ready that morning. Not via text or email anyhow. Couldn’t have seen a live video from that morning (eg: FaceTime) either if Ms was dead by 8am. Mooooooo

Yeah, as far as I know we don't know where JS was that night.

Also SS repeats the language that "we" dropped her off at school.
