VICTIM of a crime
Hardly a victim.....he"s a yet to be charged cold blooded murderer.
VICTIM of a crime
By George I think she's got it!<modsnip: snip quoted post>The ultrastrong, young drug dealer had it coming and he absolutely deserved the bullet. The old-aged, fragile, weak traffic violator with pristine record exersizing his right to give another traffic violator a roasting probably knew about the drug dealer’s criminal record and that‘s why it wasn‘t enough to flash his gun and wait for the drug dealer to retreat. Only a bullet could stop that young and strong dude because no drug dealer will EVER just shove/slam/beat old people to the ground. They finish ’em off all the time!
I‘m getting there. Cheers!![]()
Wow. Florida makes it easy to kill your spouse and collect the insurance by just shooting them and say they pushed you to the ground.Wish we had that law in Canada....my drunk husband pushed me one time (now ex, but alas still alive). I was young, weighed more than he did and was in fear of my life. But I survived....as would have MD. Hope they checked him for any hip fractures........that's common in the "old and weak" population that are helped to the ground![]()
Where do you see that on the video? The entire confrontation shows D every second. For all we know MD might have flashed his weapon at BJ and that is why Markeis shoved him away and to the ground.
We do have at least one other person that claims that he (MD) did just that in a prior parking altercation. IMO
I am loathe to trust any life to the compassion and humanity of a drug dealing felon with an obvious proclivity to violence.<modsnip: snipped quoted post and response to it>

My post reads in part...."for all we know" and "he might"Where do you see that on the video? The entire confrontation shows D every second.
Where is a statement from the police saying that is true? All I read is random people on the net making baseless claims. Also, where is the video that would support your claim he flashed his weapon? We have the entire video. I don't see where it could happen. Can you just give me what second on the video it seems to occur? My post reads in part...."for all we know" and "he might"
He (MD) has flashed his weapon in the past during altercations. That is also in my post.
Never posted that it could be seen in the video. I can't see both his hands at all times in the video.
I have no idea what that has to do with this. He did not die and was apparently uninjured. For anyone who doesn't believe that a violent shove can and is deadly, here is one example

If that happened, I am confident that my sheriff would have stated such after LE interview of BJ.For all we know MD might have flashed his weapon at BJ and that is why Markeis shoved him away and to the ground.
Post # 11 has information from the store manager that he had assaulted customers in the past in their parking lot. Customer R Kelly said that MD had made a threat to shoot him over a parking dispute. This is still under investigation.IMOWhere is a statement from the police saying that is true? All I read is random people on the net making baseless claims. Okay but it is still under investigation. And again it was mentioned by me as a possibility due to past issues with MD.IMOIf that happened, I am confident that my sheriff would have stated such after LE interview of BJ.
In fact, Sheriff Gualtieri stated "there was no physical violence, there was no threats".
MD did not 'flash his weapon at BJ'.

. . . he confronted Jacobs, and by all accounts, they got into a pretty significant yelling match. And there was no physical violence, there was no threats, but it was a disturbance. They were yelling at each other, and he was complaining about her parking in the handicapped spot.
Yes, MD could have died from the violent shove to the ground by MM.For anyone who doesn't believe that a violent shove can and is deadly, here is one example

But "past issues" don't matter in the investigation of this incident.Okay but it is still under investigation. And again it was mentioned by me as a possibility due to past issues with MD.IMO
The main point is you are armed and have constantly provoked arguments over the pettiest situations instead of just calling the cops. For anyone who doesn't believe that a violent shove can and is deadly, here is one example

That is the finding of the sheriff. Further investigation might lead to a different finding.IMOBut "past issues" don't matter in the investigation of this incident.
SHERIFF: "But what’s material here is what happened at that instant. . . if Markeis McGlockton had not walked up to him and slammed him the way he did on the ground, we wouldn’t be here having this discussion either.
So what’s relevant is not whether this guy is a good guy, a nice guy, whether he’s a jerk, whether he’s a thorn in people’s sides, and what he’s done. Whether it’s 3 weeks ago, 3 months ago or 3 years ago, what’s relevant—and the only thing we can look at here—is he in fear of further bodily harm because of what Markeis McGlockton did?"

Q: Speaking to the owner of the store, he tells us that the man who fired the shots is a nuisance there, that he’s caused problems in the past with other people. Do you know, are you familiar with this person? Have you been called there to deal with problems that this guy started in the past?
I’m not aware that we’ve been called there to deal with him in the past. There have been some incidents in the past, and we’re aware of those incidents. But what’s material here is what happened at that instant. You know—and we have to recognize—that if Markeis McGlockton had not walked up to him and slammed him the way he did on the ground, we wouldn’t be here having this discussion either.
So what’s relevant is not whether this guy is a good guy, a nice guy, whether he’s a jerk, whether he’s a thorn in people’s sides, and what he’s done. Whether it’s 3 weeks ago, 3 months ago or 3 years ago, what’s relevant—and the only thing we can look at here—is he in fear of further bodily harm because of what Markeis McGlockton did? And did he have the ability and the capability to carry this out? And the answer is yes. So that’s what we gotta look at.
And I’m not saying this guy…he might be a jerk, he might be a thorn in people’s side, he might be all of those things. That doesn’t matter. What matters is, did Markeis McGlockton slam him to the ground? Yeah he did. And was this guy put on his rear end, and in a position to do what he thinks McGlockton was getting ready to do, which was to come at him again and harm him? Yes. And does Florida law allow you to defend yourself and ‘Stand Your Ground’? It does. That’s what the Florida legislature has said.
Our job and our role is to not substitute our judgment for the law and what the legislature has crafted as a framework, but to enforce it equally and fairly as we’re required to do. I’m not saying I agree with it, but I don’t make that call.
It 'might', but I doubt it.That is the finding of the sheriff. Further investigation might lead to a different finding.IMO
