Fellsmere police search for missing man

Marty Ray Crawford Jr. was last seen Sunday, September 19, 2021, at about 9 a.m. at the intersection of South Oak Street and County Road 512.

Authorities said Crawford was last seen in September, but he wasn’t reported missing until a month later, on October 19.

Crawford has brown hair and blue eyes. He’s described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing tan cargo shorts, white Nike sandals and possibly a black T-shirt.

I guess they would have ruled this unidentified body from October 11 out right away?

FELLSMERE, Fla. —

Medical examiners estimated Monday that the body found in a vacant lot Saturday had been at the location between three to six weeks.

Remains found in Fellsmere are those of man reported missing

Fellsmere police say remains found in a vacant lot on Oct. 9 are those of Crawford.

The cause of his death is unknown but police said there was no signs of trauma to his body.

Toxicology results are pending
