A mutual friend went out to go clubbing on Saturday night and never returned. The club was filled with happy, go-lucky, young loving people. Their love did not shield them from bullets or terrorists. Love trumps hate ultimately, but we cannot be naive to the fact there's others out there filled with rage and hate will take advantage of other's kindness.

They are trying to impose their religious beliefs on others through violence. Can't "celebrate" with people who kill those who don't conform to their belief system.

Oh please ... You can't just look at one group in society and say they're the ones that need to wake up. How about we all start in our own backyards first.

No one here was shooting innocents in that Night Club. I have read no "hate" here...except for repeated murderous acts. If we all say we love Isis...are you saying that they will stop killing?

My FB feed has been especially quiet about Orlando. Not seeing any black and rainbow ribbons throughout the feed, I've seen maybe two and three "Prayers to Orlando" Mine, a family member's, and one friend. It's being ignored completely. It is what it is.

Mine is the same. After the France nightclub attack, almost all on my friends list were speaking out, changing their facebook pictures the French Flag. I hear crickets about this on my feed. I thought it was just my friend list.............

'We' (as in the allies) need to take some responsibility for the fact that we went over to the Middle East and bombed the bejeezus out of it for decades and wonder why 'they' hate us so much. Perhaps if 'we' had stayed in our own backyards and hadn't decided it was OK to go tinkering around the planet in other countries regimes 'we' wouldn't be dealing with so many hate from various 'they's' .. That's where 'I' think 'we' need to wake up!

Everyone bashes the idea of battling Hate with Love. But has it ever been truly tried on a large scale?

I would like nothing better than to see the world come together and love everyone. I truly would love for this to come true but it isn't going to happen. Now more than ever so many people seem at odds with their fellowman/woman.

Do you really think ISIS is going to change and becoming loving and contrite or all of the other hate groups of all races?

Mankind has been murdering forever and it will continue maybe even now more than ever.

I wish we could just snap our fingers and become a peaceful world. I really do Cool and I don't ridicule anyone who wants love, respect, peace and harmony.

I do agree that the only thing that truly overcomes evil is love.

But ISIS nor their sympathizers are ever going to stop their radical religious beliefs which is really entrenched in violence, hatred, and intolerance.

This is our new world now. More terrorists attacks will be done by these fanatical demons. This is the enemy we will face for decades to come and we must do better by not containing them, and they aren't even contained anyway, but by totally eradicating every single one off the face of the earth.

I will answer that question honestly & personally; because I can't **stand** the thought of being a victim. Hate the concept--I am a victim's advocate. That's probably why I'm here at WS!

Why should I be a victim to some nut job screaming ISIS or ALLAH when I'm just being a good person helping others & just living life? It is repulsive to think that anyone here who is an "infidel" or homosexual, or a Westerner, or a woman has to fear living their ordinary lives.

We don't want to be victims just because some nut job terrorist has taken his religion too far! I don't want anyone to be judge & jury over me **and take my life** due to their bizarro convictions!

I hate being a victim. And I hate those that victimize.
But that's what is happening here....over nonsense.

Ok, let me explain.
A **recipiant** can receive blood from anyone. Your hubby can accept blood from anyone in an emergency if he is in an immediate need of blood due to injury. He is O+
A **donor** can give blood to anyone injured in an emergency but can only receive blood from the O- type which is approx 5% of the world. This is O-.

I hope that clears it up for you, Bette. ;-)

I understand that but misread your original post. DH has been donating blood for almost 40 years and is contacted regularly to donate. He's never been a recipient.
