I would like nothing better than to see the world come together and love everyone. I truly would love for this to come true but it isn't going to happen. Now more than ever so many people seem at odds with their fellowman/woman.

Do you really think ISIS is going to change and becoming loving and contrite or all of the other hate groups of all races?

Mankind has been murdering forever and it will continue maybe even now more than ever.

I wish we could just snap our fingers and become a peaceful world. I really do Cool and I don't ridicule anyone who wants love, respect, peace and harmony.

I do agree that the only thing that truly overcomes evil is love.

But ISIS nor their sympathizers are ever going to stop their radical religious beliefs which is really entrenched in violence, hatred, and intolerance.

This is our new world now. More terrorists attacks will be done by these fanatical demons. This is the enemy we will face for decades to come and we must do better by not containing them, and they aren't even contained anyway, but by totally eradicating every single one off the face of the earth.

IMO

Well I guess its over then. Hate won. We are all doomed.

I didnt realise this forum was filled with folks who have given up.

Crazy. You would think I am proposing something ludicrous.....

Anderson Cooper is so upset, crying while telling us about all the victims. Heartbreaking, knowing more about each victim brings it all home.

They hate us just like we hate them. We want to kill them, just like they want to kill us.

Who is the us and them in this statement? It goes both ways.

My question is..... WHY ARE WE BEING DIVIDED? everywhere we go, its this group vs. that group. Doesnt anyone ever ask themselves who is pulling the strings?

I don't think we hate them. It doesn't always have to be mutual. I don't think anyone in Pulse hated the murderer -- yet he felt compelled to kill.

Luv ya' Cool but .... ;-)

'We' (as in the allies) need to take some responsibility for the fact that we went over to the Middle East and bombed the bejeezus out of it for decades and wonder why 'they' hate us so much. Perhaps if 'we' had stayed in our own backyards and hadn't decided it was OK to go tinkering around the planet in other countries regimes 'we' wouldn't be dealing with so many hate from various 'they's' .. That's where 'I' think 'we' need to wake up!

These radicals have always hated us for they have always perceived us (westerners) as the infidels. Osama Bin Laden's sole goal was to eradicate as many infidels as his team of terrorists could eradicate and hoping to destabilize our financial stability. They have long been plotting to murder us here even back in 1993 long before 911 when the first bombing happened in NY.

The biggest mistake we made was pulling completely out of Iraq and leaving none of our military behind. Once we left is when ISIS began growing and is now the enemy of so many in the world.

"dream and concept" huh? Is that all it is to you?
I am here preaching LOVE and getting ridiculed by poster after poster. Think about that for a second. Then think about what is going on in this world. Its time for a change, because its getting more and more obvious that if we dont make the change a catastrophic event will do it for us.

WHY IS EVERYONE SO FRIGHTENED ABOUT LETTING GO OF THEIR HATE?

I am with you all of the way. Yes. And people talk about religion. Um, what exactly do they think Christianity is all about?jesus was not kidding about love one another, etc.

Do you mean when we slaughtered 2 million Iraqi's as revenge for 9/11?

BTW, did clock boy personally threaten you? And were you in the audience when clock boy was invited to the WH? If so, I can see why you'd be afraid of clock boy. If not, then not so much.

Who/what is clock boy??

I understand that but misread your original post. DH has been donating blood for almost 40 years and is contacted regularly to donate. He's never been a recipient.

He is considered a "universal recipient" merely by having O+ blood. But it's neither here nor there, Bette. Medical jargon...no biggie.

Kudos for him donating blood.

Exactly, and our so called leaders think the best way to battle their hate is with more hate. A viewpoint that is shared by many posting in this thread.

Time to try something else.

I do not understand this post??

No one is giving up and I don't know where you came up with that. If it was that simple Cool it would have already been done.

The world is a complexity of many issues and we are all individuals.

We cant give up. That is what seems to be happening now under this leadership with ISIS now spreading into many countries.

We have to fight for the country we love and our citizens in it.

We have to go to where the head of the snake is and chop it off and if it keeps growing back we have to keep chopping until there are no more evil snakes both here and abroad.

A ban on certain weapons would help as well. I think this killer was a small fish in a big pond. He wanted attention and wanted to be viewed as being involved with groups of terrorists but mainly wanted to kill based on his hatred of gays.

You'll need to thread it back a bit further than that .. 'We' have been as guilty as 'them' for centuries ..

I think we really have to look at fundamentalists for what they are first. And be realistic about it.

To look at it from a simplified micro-approach, I don't think it's wise to leave your doors wide open in a high crime zone + throw bonbons at the would be burglars? What next; sing kumbaya?

Intent, assimilation, core beliefs & actions need to be measured--not assumed.

But my dear!

I think assimilation was much easier, and actually more motivation to do so years ago.

I completely agree with you. I think he's draped himself in the ISIS flag to make himself appear larger than he was.
