There was at least one other person (a survivor who is/was hospitalized) who reported seeing him inside Pulse earlier (9:30?) on that Saturday night.

CARIIS heard/saw a news report about the witness account early on (perhaps on that Sunday?). I couldn't find it online until a couple of days ago.

I posted it on one of these threads.

Embarrassed to say that I cannot recall the name of the survivor/witness, but I'll look for it again.

The account I read said the witness reported what he saw to investigators.

I'm assuming law enforcement has a pretty good idea what time he first entered Pulse from surveillance video.

Yes he was there, possibly casing out Pulse(according Dr Drew).

Found it.

A shooting survivor told The Associated Press on Friday that when he saw a picture of Orlando nightclub gunman Omar Mateen on television the day after the shooting, he recognized him as the same man he saw having a drink at the bar earlier in the night.

Felipe Marrero told The AP his account in an interview from his hospital bed.

He said Mateen was drinking at the Pulse bar next to him the night 49 club-goers were killed and 53 others wounded, including Marrero. He didn't remember an exact time but said it was early in the evening.

This is unrelated, but I thought people following this case might find it interesting.

Federal charges filed against Brownsburg teen with ISIL connections
Published: June 21, 2016, 4:04 pm Updated: June 21, 2016, 6:47 pm
An 18-year old Brownsburg man has been arrested after being accused of attempting to join and recruit for the Islamic State.

He's 18 now, but they have been watching him since 2013.
Court documents indicate that Musleh first came on investigators radars back in 2013 when he posted videos of Anwar Al-Alwaki to YouTube. FBI officials met with Musleh and school officials at Brownsburg High School on Dec. 11, 2013 to dissuade him from “engaging in radical extremism.”

Article on the owner of Pulse wanting to reopen it. That's a tough one.

Hey good for OPD ! Listeningtto scanner, sounds like fire was a bit frustrated that OPD was putting them in their trucks and taking them directly to hopital. It was something like "trying to get OPD to go thourh stageing so we can triage , but OPD is just putting them in trucks and just taking them ....

when we have done police they are much more hectic -- these dudes are cool as a cat!!!

To throw off the FBI. He knew he was under surveillance. Moo

Left with a bag full of guns....Orlando gunman visited club on night of attack, left and returned

he was angry and he carried a bag with his guns, his wife has told investigators.

She said she pleaded with him to not leave, grabbing him by the arm, she told investigators in an interview. She didn't know he was planning the attack, she said.

Ah ha - she is the one who called the Washington friend, who, she knew, knew how sick her husband was

The wife has now retained an attorney to represent her,

But CNN has been wrong on 85% of this so we should wait , for everyone to pick it up , report it, and in 4 days it will be changed!!

This is so weird. Any chance he thought he would survive the Pulse shooting? Did he have two plans?

I want to know where all this money comes from? The jewelry, guns, travel, airline tickets. Did he have hotel reservations? A car reserved?

I don't see how he thought or believed he would survive this. He wasn't even masked was he? Trying to hide his appearance? His thought process does not make sense to me. First he tried to buy protective body gear as if he thought he could walk away safe, but doesn't bother to disguise himself. Gives his house away...why do that if you think you are going to survive and get away with this. Why buy tickets if you are not going to survive... this is all over the place.

Identifying The Next Mass Murderer—Before It’s Too Late
https://www.psychologytoday.com/blo...ntifying-the-next-mass-murderer-it-s-too-late

On June 17, 2015, according to authorities, Dylann Storm Roof (link is external) walked into the Emanuel
African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina, sat down, and after an hour or so allegedly shot three men and six women, attending a bible study class. Immediately people began to take sides, and not just about the gun debate. Was this an act of terror? Was this a hate crime? Was this a “lone wolf?” Was this a conspiracy? On and on. What is interesting as well as frustrating is that none of these terms serve a useful purpose.

Four years ago, on July 22, 2011, Anders Behring Breivik set off a bomb near the government headquarters of the Labor Party in Oslo, Norway; after which he proceeded to the secluded island of Utøya, where he methodically killed, with a high powered rifle, 65 plus children attending a youth event. Does it matter if we call Anders Behring Breivik a terrorist, mass murderer, or a lone wolf? Not really, only one thing matters: how did he become this way, and were there signs that could have prevented this horrendous tragedy?

Once again we face a mass murder (FBI defined as 4 or more) and we need to get past the debate over the nomenclature (terrorist, extremist, mass murderer, lone wolf, genocide, etc.)—that serves no prophylactic purpose. When it comes to Dylann Storm Roof, Anders Behring Breivik, the Boston Marathon Bombers, or the likes of Theodore John "Ted" Kaczynski known as the UNABOMBER, and Timothy McVeigh, it’s not what we call them, the issue is: could we have prevented their acts? The answer is yes. And yet, we seem to be incapacitated when we hear the term “lone wolf” or “solo terrorist” as if we were describing a demon beyond our capability to identify and stop.

From the article.
Narcissistic Traits
Paranoid Ideation
Passionate Hatred
Wound Collectors
Communication
Violence as Magic
Isolation
The Lethal Cocktail
Acting Out

Omar Mateen exhibited all the characteristics in the list above. He is a clear cut injustice collector. Allow me to say a textbook example. He is very narcissistic and thinks the world revolves around him. He is very paranoid and feels persecuted and has vicarious paranoia. He shows extreme hatred at enemies of Islam, which are gays. Mateen harbors grudges that goes back to his childhood. His behavior changed in the months before the massacre and was known to become more isolated.

Examples of other injustice collectors/wound collectors are Elliot Rodger, Vester Flanagan, Jodi Arias, and Lori Drew. Arias and Drew are not mass killers, but share characteristics with injustice collecting mass killers.

Elliot Rodger was extremely obsessed about his suffering like Mateen. They are masochistic about it as it made them who they are. Rodger was extremely envious of other people and had obsession of sex, which suggests severe sexual repression on his part. Rodger was also obsessed about being rich and even begged his mother, Li Chin Rodger to marry a rich man, so he could be rich himself. In his manifesto, he rails against his own grandparents for squandering their wealth in the Great Depression. He is very resentful at everyone, especially at his stepmother, Soumaya Akaaboune and father, Peter Rodger. Mateen is most resentful at his father and likely all his family members. Rodger showed every traits for injustice collector.

Elliot Rodger: An Analysis

Vester Flanagan saw himself as a victim of racism. He was a perpetual victim like Mateen and Rodger. He had a violent temper like Mateen. Mateen envied people who were successful. It is no wonder that Flanagan killed Alison Parker, who he deeply resented. He accused Parker of being racist towards, which was proven false. Like Mateen and Rodger, Flanagan created his own injustice and lived in it. Mateen resented people, especially Infidels and other enemies of Muslims. He did not harbor any sexual self hatred like Mateen despite being gay. Flanagan showed every trait for injustice collector on the list above.

The "Injustice Collectors": How to Understand Vester Flanagan’s Grievance-Filled Manifesto
https://newrepublic.com/article/122...ors-how-understand-vester-flanagans-manifesto

Jodi Arias has a lot of deep seated resentment and pent up anger dating back to her childhood. She was known to have tantrum issues as a child. She could not let go about Travis Alexander, which happened on June 29, 2007. To her it was a crime on her ego. That gave her a sense of rejection and abandonment that burned for a year. Than on June 4, 2008, she kills Travis Alexander. It happened one year after the break up. Arias is not known to show anything to suggest sexual repression. She repressed on the psychological side. She repressed all her anger for all her life. Arias shows narcissistic, paranoid, passionate hatred, wound collector, violence as magic, lethal cocktail, and acting out. I do not know if Arias had any history of isolation. It is probable she did.

Arias' babysitter says she saw aggression in her
http://www.hlntv.com/video/2013/01/21/arias-babysitter-says-she-saw-aggression-arias

Lori Drew harassed Megan Meier to suicide in October 2006. Prior to Meier's death, Drew was very resentful about Sarah Drew not being friends with Megan Meier in Spring 2006. She deluded into thinking her daughter was being harassed by Meier. A neighbor said that Lori Drew was often bad mouth Megan Meier. The Josh Evans scheme started in September 2006, a few months after Megan and Sarah stopped being friends. Tina Meier said in a Websleuth Radio Interview that she was a very bitter and unhappy person who complained nonstop. She was very envious of other people, particularly the Meiers. The Meiers had a second vacation home in Florida and motorized yacht. She felt entitled to be invited to every parties and be involved in every organization. Right there, Lori Drew is masochist as she obsesses about her suffering wants everyone to know about it. She wanted Sarah to be happy, which suggests a bitter childhood she had on her part. Drew shows narcissistic, paranoid, passionate hatred, wound collector, communication, lethal cocktail, and acting out. Drew is not known to isolate herself as she likes being around people. Drew would bad mouth Megan Meier and talk about her scheme to other people. Lori Drew is vicarious as she went after Megan because of she felt Sarah was a victim of perceived injustices. Drew thought Megan called Sarah a 'lesbian'. It suggests self-hatred and sexual repression on Drew's part. She also repressed her anger since her childhood like Rodger or Mateen.

Lori Drew Sentencing Memo
http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/threatlevel/2009/05/lori-drew-government-sentencing-memo.pdf

What does all means? Omar Mateen, Elliot Rodger, Vester Flanagan, Jodi Arias, and Lori Drew are similar as they are injustice collectors. They are highly narcissistic and paranoid as they are extremely resentful people. Mateen, Rodger, and Flanagan are malignant narcissists, while Arias and Drew are borderline narcissists. Mateen, Rodger, and Flanagan want to be respected and feared. Arias for the most part wants to be respected as she looks for commitment through Travis Alexander. The break up triggered an eruption of resentment in Jodi Arias. Drew wants to be liked and accepted, which is always elusive for her.

Omar Mateen, Elliot Rodger, Vester Flanagan, Jodi Arias, and Lori Drew are all perpetual victims. They see themselves as victims and blame everyone else, but themselves. It is all about them no matter what.

Protective body gear doesn't necessarily mean he'd thought he'd get out alive. Most likely he was trying to assure that he'd kill the most people possible BEFORE dying.

" I think that is the comforting thing ,knowing that not one of them has to live without the other"

shoot I lost what page I was on

You know what just hit me. The Miami deal. I think he had already done gay days, and IMO that was his trigger. He is not emtionally stable. So at some point in Miami , with dad (Gay days is everywhere) so it would make sense he would see a couple kissing. But it just retriggered his expericne at Disney.

Obsiouly he could not reveal the real source of his agiation was that he came back from gay days!! So he exploded (totally wihtin character of his life) and just lost it, (Miami) and had to make it up that it was about the two he saw kissing just a thought!

These "same people" are the ones who blocked gun control proposals yesterday. McCain is the NRA's biggest fund recipient. They won't support gun control so they have to pretend to do SOMETHING in response to Orlando. But they're just crooks. And I'm pretty sure McCain is senile.

By the way, all Americans aren't idiots. We all don't want weapons everywhere. But our politicians are corrupt and aren't looking out for the best interests of the people. And corrupt SCOTUS (Scalia) led a devastating decision (Heller, 2008), which resulted in insane permissiveness of firearm ownership. Since then the **** has hit the fan.

It sucks.

So agree, IIRC, after most of these events the question is why were they not a on list!

So tying this to a terror "list" that most of these guys are not on, is a bunch of hot air moo

Interesting and so is this.

LGBT gun rights group sees membership skyrocket after Orlando shooting

"There’s always been a necessity for self-defense in the LGBT community,” says West, who grew up in Alabama surrounded by guns.

Pink Pistols has 35 active chapters across the U.S., and nationally, its Facebook membership has increased from 1,500 before the shooting to about 6,500 as of Monday afternoon, spokeswoman Gwendolyn Patton said. That hike has encouraged some and worried others.

Patton said several of the chapters have become active since last week. The organization helps its members “select a firearm, acquire a permit, and receive proper training in its safe and legal use for self-defense," according to its website. Omar Mateen, the killer in the Orlando attacks, did not belong to the Pink Pistols.

I had already heard in the news where gun sales are going through the roof again and that many gays are purchasing firearms and going to gun ranges to train.

And Pink Pistols is just one gay organization and I am sure they have more throughout the USA.

I wouldn't call those in the gay community idiots for buying firearms nor would I anyone else an idiot who has a constitutional right to protect themselves with a firearm should the need arise.

From what I have read Muslim wives are very suppressed and are ruled by their husbands who has total control over the household. So I feel he handled all of the money/finances. She may not have had even a credit card in her name. So if he knew her mom was sick in CA so he bought her the tickets in advance for his wife and child to go visit her mom. Maybe July was a special occasion such as a reunion of some sort or maybe even her mom's birthday. I think he bought them knowing he wouldn't be here then.

I think the condo, jewelry, and plane tickets were tokens given to his wife to make sure she remained silent about his plan.

IMO

I agree! If I was a member of a community that was targeted in such a horrific manner I would be thinking about arming myself as well. These are hard times.

i believe early on there was some discussion regarding how he could have brought the guns into the club, while i think it has been established that he did not "sneak" them in, this video is still educational;

OMG

And his folded in half. I really kinda wish this dude was not showing 15 year olds how this works. I never really understood with the magazines and reloading . The sound is horrific - I wont sleep tongight without two Lunestas!!

The guy himself is somewhat scary - who would even think about sticking a machine gun down ones pants?? Humm, I wonder if this machine gun will fit in my jeans???
