Sorry that is just BS. Hes dead. I think they dont want the hostage neg stuff out. So they will start leaking some of the 911 calls. IMO Slow --- the story will go away, or another something will happen and off they go

What, someone on a 911 call is going to "give" something away?

What on earth could a victim in the middle of this "know" that would engdanger an investigation - it is totally illogical moo

Hi
i was confused about the blood donation a while back. But then when the lover broke , i thought wow, is that not the perfect way to project your self hate out into the world. But they do screen right? So even if he was postive, and had not checked or whatever, it would get screened out yes?
-snip-
.
BBM
What tests are administered to ensure my blood is safe to distribute to patients?

Blood donations are tested for the following:

 • ABO and Rh blood types.
 • Unexpected red blood cell antibodies that are a result of prior transfusion, pregnancy, or other factors.
 • Hepatitis B surface antigen, indicating a current infection (hepatitis) or carrier state for hepatitis B virus.
 • Antibody to hepatitis B core antigen, indicator of a present or past infection with the hepatitis B virus.
 • Antibody to hepatitis C virus, indicating a current or past infection with hepatitis C virus (most common cause of non-A/non-B hepatitis).
 • Antibody to HTLV-I/II, indicator of infection with a virus that may cause adult T-cell leukemia or neurological disease.
 • Antibody to HIV-1/2, indicator of infection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
 • Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) for hepatitis C (HCV), hepatitis B (HBV) and HIV.
 • Screening test for antibodies to syphilis.
 • NAT for West Nile Virus (WNV).
 • Enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) test for Trypanosoma cruzi (Chagas Disease).
In addition, all platelet apheresis donations are tested for bacterial contamination.

If my blood tests HIV-positive, will I be informed about the result?

Yes. Donors who are confirmed positive for any infectious disease are notified and have the opportunity to receive counseling with a specially trained, professional Red Cross donor counselor.
http://www.redcrossblood.org/donating-blood/donation-faqs
They test not only for HIV, but also for abnormal platelets or other signs that could be symptoms of an early HIV infection. They also tell you if your blood tests positive for HIV.
HIV testing has also greatly improved due to the NAT test, which was made available in 1999.
As of early 2003, three transfusion recipients are known to have become HIV infected by transfusion of HIV antibody-negative, p24 antigen-negative, and HIV NAT-negative blood from two different blood donors (among 25 million donations)
That's only three in 25 million donations from 1999-2003. More info -
http://hivinsite.ucsf.edu/InSite?page=kb-07-02-09
The only recorded case of HIV transmission from a blood transfusion in the last eight years has been linked to a Missouri blood donor, according to a federal report. -snip- .The man's HIV positive status was not confirmed until after he donated blood a second time, in November 2008. The contaminated blood was destroyed and the man was prohibited from future donations.
http://www.stltoday.com/lifestyles/...cle_318e226b-e782-5fc2-8394-28ca274b46ce.html
That was in 2008, when that was the first transmission of HIV through donor blood in eight years. I've been able to find a more recent transmission to donor, so I'm guessing there have been only one or two, if any, in the last eight years due to 1999's improved testing method.

In response to another of your quotes, dear CARIIS, I take back my statement that it is common knowledge that donated blood is tested "to the moon and back". Judging by the talk here and elsewhere it's apparently not common knowledge like I previously thought. Maybe Mateen he did think he could pass HIV that way. The blood he donated was at a mobile donation site, however. They have those things at work, in high schools and colleges, at fairs, benefits, strip malls, heck, just about everywhere. I assumed that just because he was an insane murderer did not preclude him from sometimes acting normal and doing normal people things. When the blood bank van comes around many people give because giving feels good, but many others give because their friends are, or because the boss gives them an hour off, maybe even just for the shirt. Good things aren't always done for good reasons.

Trying to get laid is a component of being male not sexual orientation, Its genetic, the reason why we get to be (in my old days pre aids!)far more promiscious is, generally speaking:
-snip-
BBM
When did I ever say or imply that trying to get laid is a component of being gay???? I said "If you've ever looked at one of those gross apps, e.g. Tinder, Grindr, Hot or Not, etc, you'd see that more often than not it's someone showing off their body trying to get laid.". Tinder and Hot or Not are *not* gay apps, Grindr is. Grindr, Tinder, and Hot or Not are all apps famous for being hook up apps. These are not like eHarmony with singles looking for marriage. I'm not sure why you would assume I was saying gay men try to get laid constantly when I thought I made it quite clear I was talking about people that go on these hook up apps posting body pics so their wife can't identify their profile as easily or nobody will know it's them looking for gay sex.

As for your comment about men being promiscuous by nature, that's a load of :moo: imo. There's plenty of women that love staying at home raising their children but there's many who prefer not to as well. If I were to say "it's in a woman's nature to want to stay barefoot and pregnant for her whole adult life" because a few may like to, I would expect women to be as offended as a man that prides himself on his great morals/devoutness/whatever would that doesn't sleep around just because some in society say he should "because he's a man".

Isn't the MMPI the one with statements like I enjoy being outdoors or I like reading woodworking magazines? I thought that was more of a personality predictor than an IQ test.

You're right. It's often given to potential employees to determine if they are a good fit for the job. It also has validity measures that might reveal dishonest behavior. I had to self-administer the test to myself in my psych testing class in college. It's definitely not a good tool for measuring psychopathy or thought disorders.

The MCMI, on the other hand, is the test used most often in clinical settings. Physicians use this test to help them determine a personality and/or mood disorder diagnosis, as well as to test for depression, anxiety, & PTSD. The tests also looks for patterns of narcissistic, antisocial, compulsive, sadistic, histrionic, or avoidant behavior.

Eighteen ambulances, as well as 16 other emergency response vehicles, including fire engines, ladder trucks and hazmat vehicles, responded to the scene of the shooting that night, a spokesperson for the Orlando Fire Department said. But the active shooter situation compelled fire and medical emergency responders to immediately designate the building and the 100-yard radius around it a “hot zone,” or area deemed unsafe for rescue personnel.

That meant that during the initial waves of gunfire, Davis said, dozens of wounded were loaded into trucks and police vehicles within that hot zone and transported directly to the hospital by law enforcement officers.

Because [police] were in that hot zone, they did have individuals that they did load into the back of their vehicles and drove directly to the hospital,” he said, adding that some lives were probably saved because of that quick and direct movement across the couple of city blocks to the hospital.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...do-shooting-pulse-cleanup-20160614-story.html

Clean-up/repair issues aside, stigma can attach itself to buildings where mass acts of violence occur.

The building in Waco, Texas that housed the Twin Peaks restaurant remains unoccupied and on the market more than a year later.

No one died inside that building and from what is currently known, only a single shot was fired from the patio into the parking lot.

In the case of that building, location isn't always "everything."

I'd like to think I could dance in the Pulse building in the spirit of those who were expressing the joy of living thru dance that night, but I don't know that I could actually do so.

I think the aura of the horror they experienced would probably keep me away.
BBM
Same here. I like the idea of possibly opening The Pulse back up at another site. I think anything rebuilt at the exact same spot would be likely to fail. IMO.

Widower Devastated Over Report Orlando Shooter Was Buried In Same Cemetery As Wife
June 22, 2016 10:07 PM By Tiani Jones

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – A South Florida man is working to cope with the loss of his wife. What he can’t cope with is the thought of the Orlando shooter being buried in the same cemetery as her, as a new report claims
USA today is reporting that Mateen’s death certificate states that his body was prepared for burial at a funeral home on the property of the Muslim Cemetery of South Florida.
-snip-
People down here aren't happy about this. Not happy at all!
BBM
ITA. Can you even imagine knowing that cursed, evil person is at rest anywhere in the vicinity of your loved one? It's enough to make you at the least nauseous and at most hopping mad. Yuck!

So the lover is making it up as well as the hotel that says OM was there?
Have you ever watched Univision? Their news can be quite sensational. I mean, they put this guy who the FBI won't vouch for in a funny mask to talk about Mateen, who there is no proof of him ever actually knowing. A voice changer and shadow profile would be what's normally done, prosthesis and wig seems a little ratings-stuntish, not to mention inappropriate IMO. Univision was also almost banned by the GOP for offering to lay off on the gossip bout Marco Rubio's family if he granted them an exclusive interview.
Just because a yellow or biased source is widely known and successful doesn't mean it's any less biased or yellow, and a reputable news source posting a story that originated with a yellow source doesn't make it true. That, IMO, is why they say "The Daily Mail claims" or "according to TMZ", because it may or may not be true. When NBC or AP or any type of LE comes out saying they've investigated this guy and he's legit, at that time I'll believe it. Until then, I'll take everything that comes from Univision or The Daily Fail with about 17 Himalayan mines' worth of lovely pink salt. All of this is JMVHO, of course.

Basic story is about Tim Tebow visiting a high school classmate injured in the shooting, but the friend's description of that night made me cry (again). -snip-
Interesting how your post appeared right near this one:
I have vacationed on the "red neck riviera" for years. Yes, many of the local people there are religous conservatives.

The writer of the article appears to suggest that for one to "welcome" anybody, in this case gays, one must also actively affirm sexual expressions "A", "B" and "C". No, many residents of the panhandle are not going to give those affirmations.

At the same time, gays visiting north Florida towns (sans affirmations of homosexuality in many cases) are far safer than gays visiting "tolerant" Chicago. In fact, I have suspiscion that not only is gay bashing more common in "tolerant" Chicago, but a disproportionate number of people committing those crimes vote for progressive politicians.. Of course, I cant prove my suspiscions.

Strangely, the writer of this article, though willing to make generalizations about Christians in north Florida would probably go into a hissy fit if someone were to make generalizations about mosque goers. Then again, biased people are not known for objective thinking.

Getting off of my soap box now..... .
Thank you Jax49 and Cryptic for beautifully illustrating why Southern and/or Christian-bashing is just as dangerous as Islamophobia. The Tebow story along with Greg Zanis (the cross maker that's originally from TN), as well as tons of devout people I know that are way more tolerant than some that claim to be above it all prove that no one is predictable. I'm a lapsed Catholic myself, but I'm a firm believer of judge the person, not the religion or lack of it, and not the place in the US or world they hail from. As they say "practice what you preach".
*hands you your soap box back*

Very moving, I lost a lot of sleep due to this tragedy so I saw that live (or was it a replay that I caught?). I watched as long as possible, but he was struggling through his report all morning so it became painful to watch. I kind of thought they should have put another anchor in but I think it was really important for him to make himself get through it. Those of you who stayed up all night watching the coverage on different channels noticed other anchors breaking up over it, too. The poor lady on WFTV (I think) was about to lose it a bit. She was saying her son attended school with one of the victims. I think she repeated that fact not for the benefit of those just tuning in as much as the fact that she was in shock because the tragedy hits so close to home. I'm not a fan of journalists making their opinions or leanings detectable at all, but IMO Andy was overcome by emotion, he wasn't trying to send any type of message intentionally. So was every other anchor that was deeply effected by this horrible tragedy.

How would the FBI be able to track down who someone slept with for 4-5 hours?

That would transfer to what, 40 people , back to his childhood, lying? Gay and Omar came up as early as high school? He went out to gay bars at 17-18 according to many childhood aquaitances.

He hit on guy at that age. His father teased him about being a "🤬🤬🤬". Goes to gay days! IMO, he is gay. His first marriage was arragned by dad and lasted a short time.

The FBI acknoledges, that he was at the Pulse supposedly casing it out!

All the stuff the lover correlated with a lot of stuff . The father dynanic, him going on latin night fits in with lovers narrative. IMO he came off as very credible. moo

However, I cant imagine keeping videos for half a year!! Its a dump, which does fit in with a quick deal. Its three miles from pulse I looked it up! And it is on W Col as he said.

Same article

Cedeno said he has no reason to doubt accounts from other Pulse regulars who have said they had seen Mateen visit the club in the past.

“I can go take a lie detector test. I know for a fact Omar messaged me.”

...said he did not contact police to tell them about his contact with Mateen, because some of his friends who did had their phones taken and were told not to talk to reporters

. Can you imagine a person in their 20's doing anything that might result in cell phone seperation!

This is like the fourth person who has said FBI told them not to talk to media. Wife said she was specfically told not to mention that she thought he was gay. She said that later.

“No one is lying about him being on there,” West said of the gay apps, adding that “once you have the app and delete your profile, it’s gone.”

It certainly makes sense that he would delete any of that gay stuff, no?

Hiya CARIIS,

Great job on the gay angle. *Kiss*.
I still think he's a terrorist though...

Hmmm. I'm not sure of that friendly fire. But I am sure that if the police didn't push forward shooting at this point, the killer would have finished off the survivors and that young man wouldn't be on TV telling his story.

Enjoying your posts as usual.

Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

What I dont understand about his account is he said when he came out of the breach, he started firing AT LE . He then said then LE started shooting at HIM Omar. Trajectory, Omar away from the breach, and LE toward the at Omar toward the breach, which is where the victim. was.

LE was aiming toward the victim near Omar...he said "that was when I was shot". There are like 28 missed shots(holes in the wall where Om exited). How could it be OM when he was aiming down the road??

It is also interesting when you go back to see what angles you pick up by watching stuff that you missed - that in the first 36 hours the term "mass shooter" was used . It was not until the FBI came, and media got everything messed up that it went to this terrosrist.

A mass shooting is an incident involving multiple victims of gun violence.[SUP][1][/SUP] The United States' Congressional Research Service acknowledges that there is not a broadly accepted definition,[SUP][2][/SUP] and uses a definition of a "public mass shooting"[SUP][3][/SUP] if four or more people selected indiscriminately, not including the perpetrator, are killed, echoing the FBI definition[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] of the term "mass murder". Another unofficial definition of a mass shooting is an event involving the shooting (not necessarily resulting in death) of four or more people with no cooling-off period.[SUP][6][/SUP]

I don't think illegals can get,in the country without vetting. They just come. If you mean immigrants, Britskate had an excellent explanation of how immigration works.

Here is an article re audits. You may wish to contact an attorney.

http://law.freeadvice.com/tax_law/i...s-busiess-and-personal-income-tax-returns.htm

I work in horse barns. There is almost nothing but illegal immigrants working in horse barns here. Cleaning stalls, cutting grass etc. Paid under the table. They are good with horses. They know NO english. In all of the barns here there are so many Spanish to English Dictionaries. Seriously. At one hunter/jumper barn I go to... in every aisle there is a dictionary sitting on the rail.

Big turnover in these big barns. Everyday there is someone that was there yesterday, gone today and someone new there now.

They weren't vetted. They aren't legal. There are so many here in this area that it's crazy. I am 45 minutes outside of Nashville.

Hi Cariis.

I don't agree that the goal of "terrorism" is regime change or change of government policies.

The stated goal of Islamic terrorists is to kill infidels. They want to KILL us, because our religion is not the same as theirs, and they believe that their deity commands them to kill non believers. They also want to KILL all moderate Muslims, because they perceive that they are not sufficiently devout enough. Their ideology commands them to kill apostates.

OM stated allegiance and loyalty to this cause, and its leader. He believed he was doing his deity's bidding by shooting over 100 people at a nightclub. He may have been conflicted, perpetually aggrieved and angry, and gay, which may have contributed to his motivations to kill. But his primary motivation to commit mass murder as a terrorist act is his belief and loyalty to the ideology of the radical Islamic terrorist cause, and KILL. He said so himself. He studied the ideology carefully, and carried out his loyal plan in a detailed manner, right down to shaving his body hair so he would be "clean" and purified when he met his deity. He intended to die, IMO.

It's the killing of the apostates and non believers that precede the goal of "global theocratic domination".

There is no negotiating with that ideology. That is why they have to be utterly eliminated with military force, IMO.

Terrorists don't "snap" and go from being normal, to radicalized, overnight. There are clear signs. This is another case where the signs were clear, but was grossly mishandled, due to the enforced ideology of our potus, and his policies that have produced a disorganized and impotent terrorism monitoring system. IMO.

Thank you for writing a clear, concise and thoughtful post.

The irony here IMO, is by making mass shooters into terrorists, allows Americans as a society not to address the mental illiness issues that are escalating as result of $$ cuts.

If we make the problem external Muslim, and not keep it here, mental illiness, then it really is not our fault.

If one looks back, in the earlier mass shootings the focus was mental illiness. But as a society we ignored that reality and here are today.
moo!

rsbm

Every time it's the same thing - lots of talk about mental illness and gun control and then nothing changes. So we get more mass shootings.

But was there ever a chance to save OM? I don't know if he ever sought treatment but if he waited until the night before his final act to research treatment options, well, that was obviously too late.

To prevent this particular shooting, imo, would involve making so many changes to him and the way he lived his life I question whether we ever had a chance.

He shot and murdered so many people and it sucks to feel helpless in the face of that. I can't imagine what the victims went through and what their loved ones are going through. They're part of an exclusive, uniquely America group and I wish we could figure out a way (and then actually implement it!) to keep the number from growing.

We'll see but I really think after they interacted with her a while , they realized that things were not processing quite right. If you notice she had big story a couple of day and then she left and we have not heard anything.

The same thing can apply to going with him for guns, disney Pulse, might not have been able to put it all together - battering does not stop without internvention typiclly, so in addition to whatever limits she has I am sure she was petrified of him.

And it seems from mom calling ,her calling, friend calling there were people aware that he was spirling out. So her probably beat her more fequetntly in the last two weeks

I think as a child if he had positive interventions at school instead of shame and punishment, it could have made a difference. He was teased and bullied at school and it sounds like home life was abusive.

Kids who act out in school are crying for help. More and more people are realizing these kids need a therapeutic intervention.

I agree with you, and what you've said is exactly what I meant about so many changes - his education, his home life, the bullying he experienced, the shame and stigma his culture and family associated with mental illness (likely led to untreated illness) and homosexuality, ability to purchase weapons, and I'm not sure how to say it, but witnessing previous mass shootings and terror attacks.

It all led him to the path that led him to Pulse that night. But when does it switch from others could have made a difference to he was responsible for his own life and own actions? Because IMO a terrorist like him doesn't get to blame his upbringing or illness. Sure he was miserable, angry, and ill. But. He made a plan. He bought the weapons. He went into the club and killed those people. He called 911. He knew what he was doing.

I think we are going to find a treatment history. To get into speical school (I tried to find it again the other day but could not find it), but his treatment team for admission to that program was a psychitrist, mental health person, school counsler

Pretty confident they knew he conduct disordered. how would he know to look up the term anti psycotics, unless he had some previous exposure?

The first wife very compelling IMO, cause she used the term bipolar and then went on to say emotinally unstable - what could describe bipolar better.

I think he had history of on meds , then became non compliant - the typical cycle. How the media is ignoring the friend phone call is amazing, but it fits. They told the wife not to say anything about "gay" - so they are trying to keep it on this ISIS track despite the realities.

There in a jam, they took the person off a list that ended up commiting the worst mass shooting in history. But if they keep it on ISIS, they will get much more money, so its financially in the FBI best interests to keep it on this track.

They know domestic stuff is far more dangereous than ISIS - but hey they have an oppotunity to get some serious bucks out of congress.

ELection year. Imagine what that is gonna sound like , in light of recent events we have authorized an additionial 2.6 billion dollars to supplement the FBI.

The masses will sigh relief, and all of us shall be on another thread whenever.

I think they will slam the gun junk through, again, we have prohitited assualt weapons to be sold, by tying it to a list that most of these folks are not on. ! IMO it is moronic. Makes no sense whatsoever.

How is that gonna work out?

THus far it sounds like they , so they dont bother the NRA, they are going to tie it to a useless list, not an outright attempted ban.

Which we should know (weed) - all that does is create bigger black market, so now we need more LE to monitor the assualt weapons burgeoning black market assualt weapon trade.

Dont remember which one , but they can buy them online!
....ordered four Kalashnikov assault rifles over the internet from a dealer in Germany in early November.

But the masses will go back to another sigh of releif, politicans will go back to campaigning ...and so it goes....

moo the only real cure to everything that ails this place is term limits on congress !

Did you see that video where one congressman (happens all the time!0 was talking to a totally empty chamber - they were golfing or vacationing .

They have been the most useless congress in 75 years or so!

According to
GovTrack.us, the last two Congresses have enacted fewer laws than any other Congress since 1947. And the 114th Congress may just surpass them all in terms of doing nothing.

Useless
Refreshing huh!
