MISSING: Melvin Ray Wilcox, 39, 5'8" 150 lbs. Last seen March 15 in the area of Elon Dr. in Pine Hills. He was wearing a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants & gray shoes, possibly driving a blue Honda Civic FL tag HGSX29.

He hasn't been in touch with family or friends, and that is not like him.

Wilcox’s mother, Tawanna Burke, said her son lives with her in Pine Hills and hasn’t been seen since Tuesday.

Burke said the last time she saw him, he had just come home from dropping his brother off at the airport.

“He left here, said he was going somewhere and that’s the last time I saw my child,” she said.

Burke says Wilcox is responsible, a loving father of two and a good person. She said he would never take off and she thinks he’s in trouble.

“My son’s my only family, OK, he’s all I got,” Burke said.

Found deceased, 2 people arrested and charged with first degree murder.

A man that has been missing since March 15 was found dead inside the trunk of his car on Friday night, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies located the body of 39-year-old Melvin Ray Wilcox, who was last seen on Tuesday.

On Saturday, deputies arrested 42-year-old Johnny Wesley and 43-year-old Lashawn Triplett, who were charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Wilcox.

On Saturday, deputies arrested 42-year-old Johnny Wesley and 43-year-old Lashawn Triplett, who were charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Wilcox.

Re how both people arrested were connected with him, a reporter with WFTV says "his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, along with Wilcox's friend" are charged.

Poor guy. It's so sad because when reading about him everyone said Melvin was a great guy. RIP Melvin and I hope his family can eventually find some peace after experiencing this traumatic event.
