Cooksey’s mother, Haley Hayes, said she got into an argument with her daughter last Sunday (Nov 9.) Cooksey went on a walk to cool off, Hayes said, and hasn’t returned.

Hayes said the family is originally from Terre Haute, Indiana and enjoyed living in Port Charlotte. Cooksey once ran away from home in Indiana, Hayes said, but was only gone for a day and a half.

FOX 4 asked Hayes if she had a message for her daughter.
“I want you to come home,” Hayes said. “I want you to – even if you just call me or call one of your friends and just let them know you’re okay. I just want you home.”
