That’s a really small shoe size (7). I’m thinking on the lower end of the age range. He must not have had that teen growth spurt yet.

I just keep thinking that someone’s kid never made it home from football practice. I can’t imagine this kid was never reported missing. I’m guessing it was tossed into the run away pile with many of them.

Yes exactly. Who was registered for the local recreation center football team. Or maybe YMCA football team. Or a junior high / middle school football team. If that was a real uniform, and it sounds like it, then who was it assigned to? He wasn’t wearing cleats so was he traveling to/from practice? Who were the coaches at the time? They’re required to be checked out now but we’re they in 1977?
