Wow! Another Cannibal attacker in FL???

What is this the third or fourth incident where someone in FL attacked and bit or chewed on flesh?

I understand drugs will play a role in this, but then again we have Rudy Eugene...

Seems to me someone or more than one someone most likely, is experimenting putting these drugs together with other chemicals or whatever, putting them out on the streets to make a buck....probably sitting back watching the folks to see what reaction they have when "this or that" is added in.
Apparently some people have no fear when they read the news about say this 19 year old. If he does live his life is ruined.
I guess what I am getting at, its sad... that people want to get "high" so badly they ignore warnings and will take anything for a high (or so they think).
I hope what I am saying makes sense?
It is just so sad how our world has changed and how drugs seem to have such a strong grip...
Anyway hopefully this is the week we find out much more about our 19 YO self destructing murdering people eater.
I personally hope he comes out of it good enough so he can be properly charged for the evil he committed.

This mess, and I believe this is the fourth person who was biting people, even somebody who regularly uses drugs would be thinking, this is the last thing they would consider putting in their system, either don't seem to care, or are unaware of what has been in the news, and will still buy off the streets from a random dealer just to feed that craving, never thinking about what could happen with so much junk being used as fillers, then, the user becomes a victim of the dealer, and if the user attacks somebody, then they become a victim of the user, blah, blah, blah. It's just a vicious cycle that continues to repeat itself.

I kinda have the sense that generally speaking the younger generation does very little news- its Pokeman now!!

I think I'm pretty well prepared for the clown apocalypse...shock buzzer, spray bottles of seltzer water, cream pies, banana peels....but with the zombie apocalypse, I'm sadly lacking.

Sheriff William Snyder, who asked the FBI to test Harrouff's blood the week after the attack and to expedite the analysis, admitted it is the most frequent question he hears."What is taking so long on the toxicology?" Snyder said.
Snyder said he'd just learned the FBI had started the analysis this week.

I did some reading up on different states of consciousness written for professionals. Based on what we know, esp being >1 month, the prognosis is not good. There is little chance he will make a full recovery. I think, at best, he will regain a rather limited awareness. He is still in the ICU! The usual primitive way of communicating is with eye blinks, as hands are known to grasp without will or intent. If he doesn't die in 6-8 months (or sooner), then there is a chance he will live many years in the impaired state he is in. He will need supportive care but there is no real treatment.

Earlier I mentioned a neighbor who when asked said very non chalantly that he had taken bath salts. My better half took him grocery shopping Sunday & he helped carry in our groceries, so visited awhile. I asked him if he would mind some questions about the bath salts. He says the earlier ones that came on the market were better, more euphoria and a super duper meth high. Still gets the high but not quite as good. Regarding the eating people dangers, he scoffed and said he has what he calls the meteorite theory: that being that in our history meteorites have fallen to earth and hit a few guys. He figures that a couple of guys have gone whacko on it and that meaning 2 or 3 people, he figures the odds are about the same as being hit by a meteorite. I did not talk to him about the acute overdoses and toxicity. I will at some time but he sort of shut down the conversation.

As a matter of sociological interest I will be watching to see if there is a significant uptick in biting.

That's new information, that just now they have their hands on that blood, that the blood is going under the microscope and they're analyzing it for the possibility there are bath salts in there," Snyder said.

Snyder said even though he asked the FBI to expedite the bloodwork to find out, the agency is doing this as a favor, and there were other cases ahead of this one.

He hasn't even been charged yet. Although it sounds as if he was improving so presumably charges should be coming soon.

Yes, I really don't see there to be an urgency here as they already have a suspect who is in critical at the hospital, it's not like the DC Savopoulos case where the suspect was unknown and presumably fleeing.
