Interesting...when he says "I ate something bad...humans" - he says that in plural form. Makes you wonder if he in fact was biting both of them and they just haven't released all the details yet.

:thinking: Thoughts to ponder. It's all so weird. It's almost like he thought about doing something like this before in a revenge fantasy. I keep thinking about how his twitter had that banner of teeth and that pic of a guy with razor sharp teeth in an evil grin. His father is a dentist. His father is the one that grabbed him by the collar just before he took off to commit murders. Not sure how to express the idea of someone allowing themselves to become unhinged, but still have an ugly plan going on in their mind subconsciously. But then, I'm not sure he expected to survive either, so maybe this was in a way a suicide attempt too. I don't know. I think he did give big hints he needed help in the weeks leading up to the horrible crimes, but all he probably got was advice to shape up.

It's a tragedy to think this could've been avoided before he killed a really nice man and woman, and attacked their good neighbor. I think that's why we are here trying to learn how to stop these horrible crimes from happening all the time.

It is all sad. Was this kid reaching out IMO yes. Do any of us know how to say "dad I am very concerned I am starting to feel like I am a super human and I think I might need for you to get me a dash of therapy". thanx dad!

Do I totally believe that this college kid , that had a good high school experience, is sitting in jail,knowing that he ate people , and is profoundly confused about what happened that night - I do


Call me a bleeding heart therapist -fine this was not a deviant kid with an arrest history -- something happened -either he was trying to self-medicate what started going on in his head, or he was an addict, or he is schizophrenic that is at the age where most profound symptoms begin , or finally cause of his mental issues he decided to cold turkey off of steroids .


am I saying that any of this forgives any thing of that night. No Human behavior is complicated --. something went wildly amuck here

I feel the same way about the guy that lost control of his truck and slammed off the bridge killing four. Oh come on his unconfirmed BAC level was two drinks and som one cut him off.

A bright kid, he was not out robbing banks,like Austin can we have some compassion for stuff that we don't understand - but does not equate to anything other than a whole bunch of bad things happening in a certain order that resulted in these outcomes?

These guys were not criminals, they were not running amuck in society norms,

something happened along the way that has resulted in them being a thread...........

Your post puts me to thinking... while we still do not know if drugs were involved..it remains a possibility. This flakka, we have seen folks act out in some pretty bizarre ways. What I am pondering here, IF a person was in good spirits, not being angered before hand.. would they tend to have an experience that would not be violent, OR.. if they were provoked (or angered by something) then used it.. would they tend to be more aggressive?

I don't know about how this drug- any drug for that matter, would affect a normally happy person, if it could cause a sudden downward emotional swing, or not. But I do think if the person had got mad easily, a drug might enhance that problem. A lot would depend on whether the drug was an upper or downer. And if it had been cut with a substance not meant for human consumption, would only add another layer to the mystery.

Remember Dad said on Dr.P that AH had a girlfriend, and I think he said they were in love, but only Dad said so? Well, that was before and if she's even real, then I won't blame her if she decides to not "stand by her man".

WH said that the girl in the white bikini was Austin's girlfriend, that they were very much in love and she was shocked beyond belief. Of course, who knows how serious they actually were or what dad thought was going on.
