As far as we know, is AH court date still set for July 25? Thanks everyone.

MsJosie---I live near the crime scene, but have not seen or heard anything about the trial date. As soon as I hear something, will be sure to post.

The Stevens house is now occupied by new owners. They trimmed the landscaping in front of the house, considerably, and there is a portable basketball hoop sitting in the driveway.

State seeks 'other portions' of Dr. Phil interview with Austin Harrouff

According to court documents, there is still another piece of the Dr. Phil interview with Harrouff
that hasn’t been released. State attorneys want to see that video, but CBS Productions plans to put up a fight.

Meanwhile attorneys involved in the case were in court Tuesday for docket call.

It’s still unclear what kind of defense Harrouff's attorney's plan to use

Tuesday’s hearing was pushed off until mid November.

I found that documentary about the swedish ladies visiting England very interesting too. It's been awhile, I have forgotten diagnosis other than it was a psychosis.

Folie a deux (pardon my spelling I'm in the app and fingers crossed, that's accurate)

Ex-FSU Student Who Tried to Eat Man’s Face Files for Insanity Defense

http://people.com/crime/austin-harrouff-florida-state-eat-face-insanity/

"The attorneys for the former Florida State University student accused of fatally stabbing a couple and biting off parts of a man’s face contend in recently-filed court papers that Austin Harrouff is “insane”: They say he was unaware of what he was doing or that what he was doing was wrong."

I don't believe for one second a " sane " person would/could do this = no brainer.

First person account of a psychotic break. Later diagnosed as bipolar.

https://nypost.com/2016/08/06/a-manic-episode-led-me-to-strip-naked-in-times-square/

Bipolar disorder is a mental illness defined by depression, mania or both — with the severest form of mania marked by racing thoughts, sleeplessness, irritability, euphoria or overindulgence, says Dr. Samoon Ahmad, the Kips Bay psychiatrist treating Krit McClean.

People in a manic episode might also become delusional, hallucinate, feel paranoid or perceive messages incorrectly, he said.

So sad.

ETA. Another one.

[h=1]1st responding deputy describes efforts to control accused face-biting killer, Austin Harrouff[/h]
https://www.wptv.com/news/region-ma...ol-accused-face-biting-killer-austin-harrouff

Trocan described Harrouff’s stronghold on Stevens. “He had his legs intertwined, his arm wrapped around him. He had his fingers like a fish hook in his mouth trying to pull his cheek apart. He was growling.”

Trocan said he might have kicked Harrouff more than 10 times before Harrouff flung his arm back, and deputies were able to get a handcuff on his wrist and drag him away.

“As I finally was pulling him off of him, he was screaming, 'kill me! I’m eating people, kill me!' Very loud,” Trocan said.

I remember that Kit McLean episode. So sad. I’ve also witnessed psychotic breaks as I work I. A psychiatric facility. One guy with schizoaffective had a manic psychotic break and tried to eat the Christmas tree. It took two people to restrain him

God the long version is worse than the edited one the other day. he is telling Austin everything.

Oh good lord I just heard about the number 6 never heard anything like that or so stupid. People with profound mental illness have an issue with the number 6 - Phil has not taken his meds today!

Have any of you ever heard of a human being having "feelings" about numbers? That is absurd. Anyone ever in your lives describes having a dislike of some number?

Both victims are in the same age range as his parents.

How does that help understand what was going on for him?

In the long version tho what struck me most was that he mentioned that both victims "yelled at me". "Were yelling at me".

As did Daniel.

As did his father in the restaurant. I would also assume mom yelled at him with oil in his hand

so everyone is yelling at him that night..............

Yes, I noticed the same exact comments about the adults yelling at him. In his mind, was this his justification for
the attacks? Funny how he remembered exactly where the machete was placed in the left corner of garage.
I think he's been coached about "forgetting certain things". And why wouldn't he discuss what he drank in the garage?
Was he coming down off a binge and looking for alcohol?
Has anyone heard when this case will go to trial?

Austin Harrouff’s parents detail the hours before face-biting homicides

https://www.mypalmbeachpost.com/new...face-biting-homicides/OdWMIbQe9GkHHLHapttT7K/

As Mina Harrouff searched with family and friends for her son, Austin, on Aug. 15, 2016, she came upon a crime scene about a block from her ex-husband’s Martin County home.

She walked up to a deputy and asked if investigators had seen her son, then 20. He was wearing white shorts and a blue polo shirt, she said.

“I said, ‘What’s going on?’ And they said it’s a domestic dispute. So I’m like, ‘Well, it can’t be him,’ ” she said to investigators, remembering that night. “I was so grateful it wasn’t. But then it turned out it (was him).”

Thanks, Jax, I figured it was about time for this to go to trial UNLESS they're delaying for other reasons.
