When I finished watching the show yesterday, I found Michele to be a very strong woman and not afraid of him. I also felt inside, that should they start a routine visitation, that it should be set up in a public place for safety reasons based on their history.
The argument that started the "ring throwing" incident had to so with Dale bringing up someone Michele had dated in-between their break-ups, if I recall that correctly. They were both drinking at the time.
After the ring incident, the police told her to pack up her clothes and Dale wouldn't let her use the suitcase that she had her clothes in because it was HIS suitcase. The hotel got her trash bags and she put all her things in a trash bag.
She slept in a room of one of the friends at the convention. There were not hotel rooms available because of this convention.
She had enough money to rent a car and drive back to Orlando, of which, when she got home, Dale followed her back to the airport so she can return the car.
It was a relationship that just couldn't end without it getting out of hand at some point.
