As of right now I'm disregarding the "Waterford" text. Without a link stating it came directly from LE, I'm attributing it to MP's Family. Imo, everything stated by family without concrete proof or LE confirming is hearsay. That should take some confusion out of the timeline.

Then we also have to disregard the time Dale Smith allegedly took the twins to his parent's house. We have to disregard as well anything Dale's family said about his being at their house the entire timeline where she was not officially seen again.

Why would the family, who are searching hard for their missing daughter, lie or twist a fact, such as that text?

Any possible simpler scenarios in your head, Maria? I'm curious as well, because I really don't think he's that smart. Do you think she walked off, threw her own phone over a bridge on her way out of town? Wouldn't she run with her new boyfriend if she was gonna do that? Or some other plausible explanation?

And as far as the planning/premeditation aspect, I don't think it was planned specifically at this time, but I can say from experience that sometimes people (and here I'm thinking one particularly evil manipulative hothead ex and his druggie buddies) sit around and actually talk about/discuss what they would do if they HAD to get rid of a body. Yes, I have actually heard these conversations and they scared and sickened me. To the point that if I EVER hear of ANYONE going missing that lives in the area I plan on calling whoever I have to to check in some very precise areas and look into some very questionable people. I have heard exactly how they planned to render an anonymous body unidentifiable to LE and disposed of without leaving a trace. *SHUDDER* (Won't go into any gross details here). But it was a frequent topic of convo and one of the very reasons other than the obvious ones I mentioned above that I chose to leave and never talk to him again. So to sum up, he may not have planned out HER murder specifically on that day, but he may have had such a "plan" in his head if anything ever went down and maybe he just lost his cool and acted on impulse and killed her. BOOM! Plan goes into effect. Far fetched, maybe. But just another possible theory.

(Please don't throw anything at me! I know there's no evidence to suggest this...)

I think you misunderstand. Imo there is a lot of questions surrounding where and when the cell pinged and if she did or did not text this. I'm not saying they family is purposely putting out false info, only that they may have misheard what LE said to them, if anything about the text.

I certainly take everything DS family has not said with a grain of salt as well. The only info I've heard or seen is MP's family saying "DS said this, or I called, or his mom said" link me to anything that directly came from DS other than FB posts, that his said to the media.

I understand what you are saying. But the text was sent to her brother's phone from her phone. That one word text. Meaning it is on his phone. And he saw it.

This wasn't something LE told the family, this is what the family told and showed LE from her brother's phone. I have no doubt that the text itself would show up when LE went through the phone that she found.

But surely they KNOW if her brother received this text in reply to his text. That is one FACT we can be sure of. I agree that we do not know where her cell was pinging at that time. But I do think we can accept as factual the fact that she replied to that text at that time.

Michelles sister has said that Dale said the time of the drop off was 4 pm and not 3:18. I think it is interesting because one of Dales friends was posting here at that time [ Hon3ybee] and she said the 4 pm time, and said it came from Dale, as well.

ETA: I should have said that SOMEONE replied to the brother's text. Not sure that she did.

Until there is concrete evidence that it's bogus. I'm not going to discount any sightings or theories that have her in control of said phone after 3:18.

Here is another thing that I find odd/interesting: LE reacted very quickly to her being missing. She is a 33 year old adult. I am sure her parent's/family impressed upon police that Michelle had a routine, would always respond to their calls/texts, was timely, etc...had a violent relationship with her ex (though I do believe that they had no clue about his criminal background or at least the extent of it)...but somehow within just a few hours of being reported missing, LE had galvanized into a full blown search for her. Searching Dale's condo that very evening.

I wonder if the police were able to turn on GPS on her Hummer and saw that its location was in a very different place from where her cell phone last pinged...and that combined with the record of Mr. Smith and their history...caused them to act immediately. Typically in adult missing person's cases unless they have medical problems...a lot of times, police will tell the family that the person is an adult...and may not take action until a day or so later. In this case, they acted swiftly and immediately. Leading to me to believe they knew from the very moment she went missing that something grave had had happened to her and that she was either dead or endangered.

I guess the primary reason(s) I think that she didn't send the "Waterford" text to her brother is that because she disregarded several other texts and phone calls sent from her current boyfriend, family, and her brother. Not once in that timeframe did she attempt to call her son.

While it is possible she texted it...it is very odd that no one else was responded to. Just the brother repeatedly texting her for a ride. No texts to the boyfriend. Not answering the phone. No texts to anyone else. Just the one text to the brother.

I am still catching up on the posts today. Looking at the pic from the recovered iphone of Michelle, it looks as though it might be a kitchen in the background. If so, I wonder who's? Also I wanted to add that removing the sticker, whether one piece or several would be very easy to do with goo gone or something similar.

You guys here are great! I pray for answers, peace and closure for all those that are missing and their loved ones.
