I've also been thinking it would be likely that DS2 would place evidence in a place with which he were familiar. At the end of the film in the "special thanks" list the first mention is "Stewart Family". I'm wondering if a family member let them use a property of theirs.

Could very well be Geneva where the film is made as there are many small lakes like that dotted throughout this area. I wonder if these pics could show the area and the red star marks the small lake shown? There are also several very large wildlife preserves in Geneva that have landscapes similiar to the vid as well but, I would think that by thanking the family there's a strong possibility that points to their property being used in the filming.

Yes! Looks like Dale is pretty familiar with wooded areas. Wonder if this was local or somewhere he took a trip to be a part of movie. It's pretty creepy when you watch the movie and think where would a demented person hide evidence. If he had plotted harming Michelle in his mind, he could easily have taken her to an area that he knew inside and out that few people would look.

I still believe Michelle's phone was used as a decoy to throw LE off the trail. I wonder where her phone was pinging between 3:18 and 4:00. I would suspect the phone was powered off during this time to prevent tracking or given to an accomplice to run a diversion. Or If Dale temporarily hid Michelle, the phone could have been used for a while to throw off trail.

He says Michelle stayed for 10 mins or so. That she arrived at 4:00. So he is trying to erase 42 minutes. If she REALLY arrive at 3:18 that would have her leaving at 3:28. Instead Dale has her leaving at 4:10 (4:00pm arrival plus 10 min). This missing 42 minutes probably has him doing what he needs to hide evidence.

IMO, DS2 would choose an area he was familiar with, whether or not he planned it. Like "OMG what did I just do. I've got to cover it up. I need someplace nobody will find. Where could that be? Is it close enough to keep me from getting caught?"

IMO, the moment that the pinging stopped (if it did) in the afternoon it was too late for MP. I would have never thought about pinging, but I haven't ever worried about keeping LE from knowing where I was. LE knows when MP got to the condo and when the Hummer left and they are purposely keeping it under wraps. AND, MOO, LE knows when & where the iPhone was every moment it was turned on and if they don't, DHS will show them how to figure it out. (BTW, it takes about 4 seconds to turn it off.)

GrammaMaybe I think you are right. I followed your link on to Makazie One's You Tube and found this longer video that gives you a better look at the back ground area.

It really does look like a Florida swampy area. I see pine, palmetto, cypress and spanish moss in the trees. Unfortunately, there are MANY areas just like this around central Florida. Some of them can be found between DSjr's house and Titusville where he went to work the day after MP went missing. Good find!

According to a timeline, it was found by LE at 1230 AM 11/18 and found around 10:30pm by a lady walking her dog who at some point contacted WFTV on 11/17.
