Not the uncle ... it was the brother who sent a text to Michelle at 4:00 pm.

I said uncle because I had been talking about the 11 yr old, sorry for the confusion.

So this changes things in my mind if the brother was not texting out of concern for her, imo. I thought there was concern because it was so out of the norm for her not to be home nor call at that time for her 11 yr old. But now I am hearing that was not the case? So IDK.

It would be interesting to know what position the seat of the hummer was in. Was it in position for Michelle or a taller person?

Found it!

From this article

Michelle’s 11-year-old called his grandmother, Yvonne Stewart, to ask, “Where’s mom?”

Yvonne said, “And her son called and said ‘is mom at the salon?’ We’re like, ‘no honey, she went to drop off the babies, she should be home. She should be taking a nap.’ He said ‘well I haven’t seen her since I got home from school.”

That article has the dropoff at 2 and her shift starting at 6, so I don't know how reliable the source is, but I'm assuming a direct quote is good enough. Like I said, the time lapse is just my reading of the quote- I don't know what time the son called grandma, but TO ME "since I got home from school" suggests he's been home for some time.

Toll Facilities Reference Manual... This is definitely worth looking at & skimming through. Start at page 11 and skim through the others. There's TONS of tolls, at every exit/on ramp, all EPass upgraded on 408 417 & 528 - which means there has to be cameras in case somebody runs the toll. How do you think they get tag #'s to mail people fines for skipping tolls? They get them by video.

http://www.expresswayauthority.com/Corporate/oursystem/assets/TollFacilitiesReferenceManual.pdf

But, is the camera activated all the time or only when the toll signals that someone is running it? (Sorry, at work so didn't have time to check out the manual).

True, and there would be video at any of the tolls that would show her direction. Le would have this info.

I remembered this earlier today and looked it up. There have been several rapes/attempted rapes in the area not far from where Michelle dropped off the kids. Wonder if she stopped for gas farther down Goldenrod where this was occurring and someone got into the car. I took a defense class once that said women should always lock their passenger side doors when pumping gas as thieves often sneak up and open the passenger doors and steal purses. It would be just as easy for someone to sneak in the back of the Hummer while Michelle was pumping gas. The vehicle is tall and looks to have dark windows so she might not have noticed. Just a thought if the car jacking theory is still floating around.

""In the last seven months, I've hosted three crime prevention summits," said County Commissioner Jennifer Thompson, who represents that part of the county. "We've had close to 300 people in total to talk about these types of things."

In so many relationships, they text back and forth while working and driving.

Now isn't that the truth! My son has been nicknamed Harry Potter because of a scar across his forehead. He hit the back of a snow plow while reading a text.

I read and send text messages; I read newspapers. I don't speak to make a text message, nor speak to the newspaper. I call someone and speak to them or speak to their voice mail IF I want to speak to leave a voice message on the phone.

Now if I had a voice activated cellphone where I could speak the words and it turns into a text, then I guess I would be speaking to someone if they can hear my voice speaking to them when they read my speaking text.

NOPE, I am not drinking!

I agree, but do young people relate the same way? I know in my universe it could mean email, text or vocal.

Merriam Webster:

transitive verb
1
a (1) : to utter with the speaking voice : pronounce (2) : to give a recitation of : declaim
b : to express orally : declare <free to speak their minds>
c : address, accost; especially : hail
2 : to make known in writing : state
3 : to use or be able to use in speaking <speaks Spanish>
4 : to indicate by other than verbal means

Yes, it was mentioned that he hadn't seen his children in three weeks and that he wasn't even invited to their third birthday party.

I don't think the media ever released the date of when the children turned 3.

Shortly after is when Judge Milian admonished both of them and expressed her disgust over them being so vindictive to one another. That's why I thought things changed after the taping bc both Dale as well as Michelle were embarassed of their previous actions.

Great point.

4:26, and I believe he was texting around for a ride not concern, as per this post.

Still looking for the quote.

I thought the 4:26 time was when he received a text response from Michelle's cell that stated "Waterford"? I thought it was in response to his text around 4:00 to her cell?

I don't think mother's (or father's) who leave an abusive relationship should ever have to exchange the children at the abusers place of residence. I think it should be mandatory for everyone going through custodial issues to meet at a public place until the courts can deal with what needs to be in place.

My sister was one of those mother's back when my niece was 2-years-old. The courts made it so that they had to meet in the police station parking lot to exchange custody of my niece. Never was she forced to meet him at his place and he was never to meet her at her place. He never knew where she lived and instead gave him a P.O. Box address (court ordered) to send what he needed to send my niece (he never did anyways). My niece is now 17-years-old and my sister still has the P.O. Box. Nothing in 13 years. Her phone number has never changed... no phonecalls in 13 years. His loss!!

I know it is now a moot point in this case, but even if it reaches one person leaving an abusive relationship where children are involved, they will think of meeting at a public place to exchange the children. Even a McDonald's or Chucky Cheese. Something where there are a lot of people coming and going.

I have no idea if Michelle left Dale's house on her own or not... but it's still good advice to be out there. Unless there is a court order forcing the parent to drop the child/ren off at their abusers private resident then you don't have to meet them there.

Prayers with Michelle and her family!

A camera would be activated at all times in protection of those tolls, not to mention the electronic device (EPass) that transmits as it enters and leaves a toll. So either way, IF Michelle has E-Pass, and IF she travelled a toll road, then the authorities would already have this information.

Maybe she didn't travel the 408 at all. She may not have even taken a toll road. I'm going by what Ironhorse said bc they saw her vehicle either on the 408 or 417 - both have tolls at the ramps.

I hate the idea of the gas station scenario (bc it would mean bad news) but it's very plausible.

Great thought process! Yeah, I'd like to know too... Wonder if the media will report on that?

Ohhhh... I thought she was seen at an intersection around one of these roads. I did not realize that.

Just another tidbit...listening to local6 now about raising the reward to $50,000, but they have a Sunday at midnight deadline.

You may be right but I thought Ironhorse said they (including passenger) spotted Michelle's H3 looked like she (her Hummer) was heading North on 417 as if she'd just gotten off the 408 ramp. It might just be that my wording is off. Maybe when Ironhorse gets on it can be clarified...

Pretty please Ironhorse? :blowkiss:

But the taping was in June and it appears things changed after that show because now Dale was seeing his children and Michele had moved on.

I took screencaps of where Michelle's H3 was found and where Jennifer's Malibu was found. Look at the way they're set up. I'll betcha anything the perp used public transportation after the vehicle was parked.

Michelle's H3 was found in the 4700 Block of Walden Circle. That is the address for Walden Palms:
WaldenPalms4700WaldenCircle.jpg

Jennifer's Malibu was found in the parking lot of Huntington on the Green, which is at 5176 Downing Street:

Here's an image capture from Carter Glen where Dale lives. The condo/townhome complex is located at 6600 South Goldenrod:

Here's an image of Mosaic at Millenia where Jennifer lived. The condo complex is located at 3955 Conroy Rd:

There are security cameras at all 4 of those complexes. If these cases are related, somebody knows just what the heck they're doing. They are being deliberate and precise. They would have to know camera placement, as well as any shift changes and if teach complex has a physical guard. I didn't look into it that far, that my next step.

Easiest way to get away and go undetected would be to use public transit, that way they'd blend in. Somebody walking on a road can sometimes be noticed. Somebody riding a bus would do so around several people. How could anybody remember just one face while riding a bus?

I am not around young people anymore except for my 43 year old son, who uses text when communicating as being in touch and phone call when speaking.

I'm old! :)

She was seen on the toll road? I know someone reported they had seen her on 436 and Aloma, but I must have missed that she was seen on the toll road.

Has to be renting. I don't know which particular unit he's in but none of those condos are under his name in the Register of Deeds.
His full name is Dale Wayne Smith.

http://www.occompt.com/

Also, I don't believe the HOA has any restrictions on what owners do in regards to renting/selling. So the lease agreement could be with
the owner, an agent, or a prop mgmt company.

It looks like he owns the unit.

and it can be found here too.
