I would say no because the time stamp on the video of MP Hummer arriving at DS condo has been verified as correct.

If DS had his cell phone and Michelle's cell phone together, wouldn't they ping the same towers at the same time?

I heard something about this the other night, but can't remember what station I was watching.

I don't remember hearing anything on this for sure, but something that I heard made me start wondering about cell phone pings and whether or not that was part of the evidence that OPD has against DS Jr. I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't ping off the same towers if he had both phones. If he left his somewhere and took Michelle's then I could see a different pattern of connections.

These are some of the questions that I keep getting stuck on:
Did they have the same service providers? If they did NOT, would that mean that the pings might be different?

How tight of an area could be calculated using pings in the Orlando area? Is it a specific radius that can be calculated or is it much more specific than that? I'm thinking it is more specific than I originally thought.

And then of course, which tower did Michelle's phone connect with at 4:26 when the Waterford text was sent?

Couple of questions for any of you in the know:

Didn't one or more of you mention at some point that DS Jr. and Sr. currently owns/works out of/has access to warehouses, garages, or properties elsewhere in Orlando/Central Florida? (Other than at the Rose Ave. address)

Do you know where any or all are located?
Properties I have found owned by the Smiths per Orange Co Comptroller Records-
1982 Rose Blvd Home
1984 Allied Roofing bORN - Listed as Rose Blvd Address
2002 Lot & Unit at Sky Lake
2005 Property off of Church St. no address just legal desc
2005 Property at Pineway Drive - Sold the same year as aquired
2007 Another property and unit on Sky Lake
2008 Condo in Carter Glen
There maybe others I overlooked because viewing these records and validating them as the right person is tedious. Also there maybe properties in other counties.

I have an updated question list to post later tonight. I've tried to add any germane questions to it according to what all of you have been posting today. :)

The most recent list that I posted yesterday is on page 19 of this thread, if anyone missed it.

I found this. Michelle had a Iphone.

Why does Apple need to know where you are?

The news broke earlier this week: Researchers Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden discovered that the iPhone 4 and iPad 3G devices — essentially cellular devices running iOS 4 — have a secret file hidden away that tracks the devices location regularly. It appears that these devices determine location through pinging cell phone towers and triangulating the resulting position. Then the device records the estimated latitude and longitude with a timestamp in a file called consolidated.db. Allan and Warden hasten to add that, as far as they can tell, this information remains stored locally on your phone (though it will transfer to any computer you synchronize your device to).

This open-source application maps the information that your iPhone is recording about your movements. It doesn't record anything itself, it only displays files that are already hidden on your computer.

Just tossing stuff out. If Dale killed Michelle in the condo just after she arrived at 3:18, he may have left her body there, grabbed the kids and headed over to the Dale sr. house. Explained what happened and left the kids and took his dad back to the condo with him to help get rid of the body. Now one takes the hummer the other drives Dale's truck or van (you pick) and they get rid of the body and the hummer. Drive back in Dale's truck or van to Sr's home. How long could that take? LE didn't go over there ( condo) until late that night. So if that is what went down, she is probably a lot closer to the condo or Dale sr. home than we think. People tend to dump the body where they feel comfortable, like a place close by, a place they feel no one will look and it has to be away from house or witness. Most of the ponds have home around them. Too many eyes for one, and you have to make sure the body will not surface for two. So my guess is that it is in a wooded area, not far from the road. JMO

If he did something to Michelle, I agree with your thoughts on where a body might be found. I really think that he would've needed to deal with body disposal at almost the same time he dealt with the hummer. I think that he used the Hummer to transport her body and then parked it in a parking lot somewhere that it wouldn't draw any attention. Most of the large commercial buildings where I live have parking spots along the side of the building. If he had backed the Hummer into one of those spots, the decals would've been impossible to see.

The above gave him time to get to his parents house with the twins. I haven't really found a possible location for him to hide the Hummer and then get back home without transportation within the right time frame. I am thinking that he might've been able to use a dumpster for disposing the body.

Of course, when would he have gone back to get the Hummer, strip off the decals and move it? What did he use for transportation to get back to where he originally left the Hummer?

Or, did he call a friend and have them go pick up the Hummer and move it for him? I think that this might make the timeline work. Besides, he would've had a more solid alibi this way. It also assumes that he has a friend or associate who he would trust to assist him and that is a very big assumption.

I'm not comfortable assuming his father was a conspirator. If new information comes out, I am totally willing to go with it.

The above is all speculation on my part.

We have iphones & when we use the Find My iPhone app it is accurate down to what room in the house you are in. Scary accurate. I also wonder when she last synced her phone. The new iOs 5 automatically syncs to the iCloud now, I wonder if LE has checked that w/ Apple.

The only reason I include Dale sr. is because he gave him an alibi. He said, Dale was with him the whole time she was supposed to be missing. It just sits wrong with me, I can't tell you why, just does. But I respect you point of view. :seeya:

What is our time frame for this crime? She arrives at 3:18, but when is Dale contacted and accounted for, other than his family stating where he was? If LE was at his condo at let's say 10pm, are we going with 6 hours and 42 minutes? Or are we going with the 72 minutes MN put out there?????

I think Michelle and her Iphone were separated soon after 3:30 or so.....

I believe this is some of the information that is "evidence" against him. Could they be playing with his emotions? Watching him and hoping he breaks or leads them to her?

I also have an iPhone. I don't use any of the apps for locating my phone or anything that is GPS enabled. Does the accuracy for location of the phone decrease if the phone is moving? In other words, if you were on a major interstate traveling at 65MPH, would the ability to track the phone be more limited?

I don't know if this helps or not, but in the case of KC Anthony; her phone pinged off a tower that was close to where her home was but also where Cayee's body was found. They also had the problem of when a tower was busy, the next available tower pinged that single. So Jeff Aston was explaining that they could never pin point her at the exact location off Suburban drive with that tower ping. I don't have a link per say on this, it was an interview with Jane V.

I ask my DH as he has an Iphone also, and he says "yes" to the above, it will pin point your exact location on an interstate no matter what speed you are driving.

I do know that if you send a picture to some one from your phone to an Iphone, the Iphone shows the location that the picture was taken from. Friend of mine didn't trust hubby and he sent her a picture of him from a place he was supposed to be, and turns out it was the right place, just not the right address of that place. Same name, but different location.... Opps!

<snipped for space> BBM

I think I remember reading DS's best friend (who was there when Shannon died) lived in another state now. Does anyone know? Needless to say, I have my suspicions about DS Sr, but if Jr has another friend who is just as loyal as his previous friend, this is another possibility.

The only reason I include Dale sr. is because he gave him an alibi. He said, Dale was with him the whole time she was supposed to be missing. It just sits wrong with me, I can't tell you why, just does. But I respect you point of view. :seeya:

If DS Sr isn't involved with helping Jr, I think he would still cover for him. He could have told his dad something like, "Just say I was at the house, otherwise they're going to try and pin this thing on me." MOO
