As far as the nap goes, it may have been somewhat of a routine for her. I know I used to be able to take a 20 min. nap and feel refreshed at that age. In fact that 20 mins is recommended. She may have mentioned that to her sister as it is part of her routine before work. I do know she talked to her father on Wednesday to meet for dinner and introduce the new beau. It's in a link somewhere. One would usually interpret dinner as a sit down, usually for an hour or so. But the "dinner" with the boyfriend on Thursday to them could have been meeting at a fast food for all we know.
I think it was Ironhorse that had narrowed down only 1/2 hr for dinner? But if you leave out the nap and add fast food it may fit.
Just thinking outloud.

BTW, welcome Ironhorse!

I agree...it just doesn't make sense. I drive that route every day and it takes a good 45 minutes to make it but I always give an hour. I just don't see dinner at 7 and work at 7:30. Does the Barn serve food?

Yes, it's a long haul and during peek hours like 4-6pm it can take even longer, if there is an accident or traffic gets tied up...

Someone said she no longer lived in Geneva? I don't know that for certain but even if she has moved back to her parents, they live in Oviedo. That's still the same direction and maybe shaves only 10-15 minutes off drive time.

As far as I know the Barn doesn't serve food. But it's very close to 1st street and there is several nice places for a dinner date there in the downtown district of Sanford...

The main thing based upon the story told thus far... There is no reason for her phone to ever been anywhere near Oak Ridge Rd as that's way out of her way to go directly home or work. The only speedy way out from where she dropped off the kids is to take the 417 north. And as said before your looking at a 40-45 minute drive time. If she dropped off the kids and left almost immediately then the best she could hope for was to get to the 434 ramp by 4pm...

Where she lived seems to be a grey area as well. Even those who seemed to know her fairly well didn't really know where she was staying. Perhaps with school and work the family was pitching in to help with the kids till she graduated? The news I've seen that actually states where she's from says Geneva unless that's changed as well.

OT on this thread but William Damon from Fl has been found safe!

(OT just saw on his thread that William 'Dean' Damon, 16, was located...no connection apparently)

So sorry, a bit o/t but I cannot stand sour cream. Does the taste come through? I usually use heavy whipping cream but it is not cheap and fattening. I am trying to find a somewhat healthier alternative.

Prayers will be said at our table for all the lost souls.

We use ten lbs of Yukon Golds, 2lbs of butter, 32oz Sour Cream and 2lbs of cream cheese with almost a quart of heavy cream. It is a taste sensation. IDK if the flavor comes through of just SCream....I like it.

"She describes her daughter as a doting mother who was forced to move back home due to economic hardship and after her bitter breakup with Dale she was reluctant to be a participant on the show."

As far as I know Geneva is her residence... Like you I can only base that on information thus provided by reliable news sources.

That's not far from her parents home, nor is it from her employer. Getting to work from Geneva or her Parents house might at best be a 10-15 minute drive?

What I find strange the most is how the LE have dismissed the text sent to her brother from her phone saying 'Waterford' as being bogus. The Text was sent at 4:26pm that afternoon. Yet, LE says the phone never pinged in Waterford... But instead somewhere around the area the phone finally shut down at 8pm that evening...

So the real question is whether she ever was in Waterford Lakes? Technically speaking it's possible to get from Waterford Lakes to where the phone supposedly sent the text and the phone was powered down. If one left Waterford lakes around 4pm one could make it to the location where the phone sent the text at 4:26pm...

While it's true Waterford is somewhat off the beaten path from her most direct route back to Geneva/Oviedo/ Work. However Alafaya Trail is Hwy 434 and it does go straight to Oviedo/Geneva.

Ok I know the hummer vs. hummer is somewhat of a sensitive subject since so many have been thrown by the curveball of their actually being confirmed that their were in fact two almost identical hummers in that neighborhood roughly around the same time.. That said, while I do understand that the video DOES SHOW shelly's hummer drive past the video surveillance at sometime after 3pm.. But what the video DOES NOT SHOW Is shelly's hummer leaving roughly an 1hr+ later<- That hummer that is seen with NO DECAL, NO WHEEL COVER has been identified as belonging to a neighbor in the area.. So, while we the public have not seen shelly's hummer leave on the video surveillance, however LE do have that knowledge and video of the time that shelly's hummer left this neighborhood.. That is how I understand it to be..

What I am not clear on is the removal of the decal(s)?? Was that info derived from the video surveillance and just misinterpreted due to seeing the neighbors hummer on video that obviously never did have the Glow Tan decals on it?? That's what I'd like to have clarified.. Because I could see how that conclusion was met due to the thought that the neighbors decal-LESS hummer was assumed originally to be shelly's hummer with someone having removed the decals..

Or have we had confirmation from LE that it just so happens coincidentally that what was mistakenly "assumed" (that decals were removed) by mistakenly believing the neighbors hummer to have been Michelle's.. That coincidentally it just so happens that when Michelle's hummer was located that it actually did infact have the Glow Tan decal(s) removed from it??.. And if so.. Well.. My what a mighty fine coinkidink?!? Anyo e else think so??

If that is infact the case(that shelly's hummer was indeed decal-LESS when located) it almost leads me to think it possible that the removal of the decals was perhaps for the specific reason of WANTING THE HUMMERS TO BE MISTAKEN ONE FOR OTHER?!.. KWIM??

Also another question I have is the 10:30pm sighting of Michelle's hummer by the woman walking her dog.. When she spotted the hummer at 10:30pm was it already decal-LESS(having had decals removed).. Or was it still with the Glow Tan decals on Shelly's hummer?..

If the decals were not on the hummer at 10:30pm when the woman out walking her dog spotted it.. Well.. Then how exactly do we know that this was even infact shelly's hummer that she saw??

Tia to anyone who knows:)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I have no doubt she was a good mom and I'm not insinuating she wasn't, but surely she knew when she dropped the twins off at 3:15 she wasn't going to make it home at 3:30 for her other child. Do you think it was her plan to call her child around 3:30 so he/she wouldn't worry? The child was concerned enough that she wasn't home yet that he called his grandmother. Maybe something happened to Michelle "that" quick. Like, as soon as she got back to her car from DS's.

I was under the assumption while the lady was walking her dog at 10:30 she saw the Hummer parked there, while it was at 12:30 when on patrol that an officer spotted it parked in the same place. I assume it was parked where it was found at least since 10:30 and the decals were already removed, just like it was found. IMO

Just watched the ^above^ posted video from photobocket.. It is a mustsee indeed for any confused.. I am know understanding that it did just so happen that Michelle's Hummer's Glow Tan decal(s) had in fact been REMOVED.. I'm going to KISS and for now think the motive was just simply to keep it from being identified so quickly, especially given the fact that the perp likely was tipped off that fam was already getting concerned for where Shelly was by the texts amd calls to her phone questioning this.. Which I think it likely that LE is correct that whomever sent the "Waterford" text to her brother at 4:26pm from Shelly's phone in reply to where she was at.. Was in fact the perp(or someone involved) that sent this msg with the same motive of buying more time, thus again the need to remove the decals as this is what would easily ID the black hummer as being Shelly's black hummer and I'd say it's likely that at some point during those early moments of fam becoming concerned, perp aware and worried there could be a BOLO out at any moment for Shelly's hummer(with Glow decals) that the perp,
Or others involved were still in the process of getting the vehicle to it's desired spot to abandon it.. Thus they would be removing the decals to be able to better hide in plain site while traveling in the hummer to the area they chose to abandon it..

This then leads me into my same question ^above^ about the woman with her dog at 10:30pm stating she had spotted Shelly's hummer(I believe something like 6miles from where it was found less than 2 hrs later).. How could this be known that it was even Shelly's hummer UNLESS AT 10:30pm THE HUMMER STILL HAD THE GLOW TAN DECAL(s) on IT!?! Thus leaving me scratching my head that it was around town for multiple hours while she was missing AND STILL HAD THE VERY EASILY RECOGNOZABLE GLWO TAN DECAL?!?

Great point. I have been posting about this same thing endlessly. I feel that the timing with the 11 yr old is vital info. It is obvious that he was very concerned that his mom was not there when he arrived home from school. So it seems like he expected her, and it was her usual routine. So it makes sense that she would have called him to tell him she was running late. An 11 yr old can be home alone but needs contact and constant communication, imo. And I agree that whatever happened may have happened very fast, thus preventing her from calling her son at 3:30 when he was first getting home from school.

I know he called his grandma, but I wonder if he tried calling mom as well. It seems like he would have tried that first. imoo

She was a busy energetic single mom with a couple of jobs and 3 kids and I am sure she was late on other occasions. So, imo, he was probably used to calling Mom and checking in. I wonder if he did so that day.

Hahaha well no, now it makes no sense! I thought it was found where the lady at 10:30 saw it. If indeed it was found a few miles away from where she saw it parked....how does she know it was Michelle's Hummer unless the decals were still on it? And, as you said, who in their right mind would leave the decals on it until 10:30 at night when you know her family is already looking for her. I mean lets face it, the decal was pretty obvious.

These are the only facts known to date:

• 3:15 p.m.: Video surveillance in an east Orange County neighborhood captured Parker driving to Dale Smith Jr.'s home to drop off their 3-year-old twins. Just minutes before she arrived, Parker and Smith, her ex-fiance, appeared in a previously taped episode of the "The People's Court" during which they argued about a lost $5,000 engagement ring.

She was wearing a silver-cross necklace — a detail revealed today for the first time — jeans and a Florida Gator's zip-up hoodie.

•4:26 p.m.: Parker's brother, Dustin Erickson, received a text message from his sister's iPhone suggesting that she was in the Waterford Lakes area, also on the county's east side.

•8 p.m.: Parker's iPhone 'pinged' in the area of Oakridge Road near Belle Isle, more than seven miles from where she was last seen. Her phone was powered down in that area and has not been recovered.

•The next day, police found Parker's H3 Hummer in the parking lot of Walden Palms Apartments, 4700 Walden Circle. Decals for her Glow mobile-tanning business had been removed from the windows. From there, the trail has gone cold.

______________________________________________________________________________________________

I would say and I'm only guessing here that the stickers was removed before the vehicle was moved to the location where the vehicle was later found. The search for that vehicle was well under way by that evening so whomever had it knew in order to dump it they couldn't be traveling with such a noticeable feature on display or they risked getting seen.

We are talking about 9 hours between when the vehicle vanished and it's recovery. That also tells a tale about how sought after this hummer was by the police and the public at large.

Hi there. Never been to this Site before this case, but I'm friends with someone close to Michelle, and a google search led me here. I've been lurking since Thursday, but now have one thing to add or ask? As far as the Hummers go, it's clear that the stickers can be removed, but isn't it just as feasible for the wheel covers to be removed (so that it looks even more like a different vehicle)? Especially since the time between was about an hour and a half... Feel free to set me straight if I'm missing something obvious :).
