And it's quite possible that when Michelle's son did not hear from his mother after getting off the bus or getting home, he called YS. YS likely knew that Michelle was running a little late and may have told him that she was dropping off the twins at their father's and that she'd probably be home very soon. So being 11, he probably just left it at that. Maybe got involved with something and lost track of time until 6:50pm when he started calling, probably the salon, again.

Shouldn't this have set off an alarm in YS that Michelle was not home and if not why?

In past experience with other cases, surveillance video rarely, if ever extends to the roadway outside of a business. I've been following another case on here and the only video of the victim that could be located was from a DOT government building. All of the other businesses on her route did not have powerful enough cameras to get a range right out to the roadway.

I know you're correct in that thinking, Kamille, but in this instance surveillance cameras were installed all over the Oak Ridge area to deter crime. I'm not talking 20 looping security cams at traffic lights. I'm talking about a whole lot of money invested in several cameras, signs, security etc to deter theft, rape, drugs, murder. It came from the State bc Oak Ridge became so high risk that they had to do something.

IMO, if there isn't video obtained then its bc it wasn't secured fast enough. Some loop over after a few days, some every 24 hours, some are held off of wireless satellite or whatever it's called to get the electronic data to a secured database - like cellphone usage.

Not necessarily. YS would have known that Michelle would not likely make it home in time based on the time she left the salon. Because according to the video of her arriving at DSJr's, it's apparent she wouldn't have made it home on time. She may even have mentioned it on the way out that she knew she was going to be 15 or 20 minutes late getting home to her son when she left the salon.

Well that is quite possible because LE would not have known to be looking for Michelle in that area until they obtained the cell phone records. Plus we have no idea if the Hummer itself ever travelled through Oak Ridge to get where it was found. I don't know the area myself but is it possible that the Hummer travelled somewhere south or north of the area where there may not be any traffic cameras?

No, I don't know where they are, but it's on the Internet when the city added them. It might be found in a budget meeting minutes. I'll look for it but it may take some time, ok? I know for an absolute fact that cameras were added at several red lights and almost all condos/apartments have them. I'm certain businesses in that area wouldn't be foolish enough to think they didn't need security, especially considering what they'd pay for business zoned leases - heck, they'd lose their theft insurance!

I agree... Yvonne is a helluva person & anyone that's befriended her must feel blessed. I don't know her at all but the way she handles herself with grace, dignity & respect is sooo über classy that even myself as a stranger looks up to her. She honestly reminds me of Beth Hollway-Twitty.

I do know a lot of businesses have cameras but many of them are focused on property. My business is on the other side of town from OBT and I know we had a rash of air conditioner thefts last year. They got both of mine twice :maddening:. I had to finally have metal cages built around them and cameras put up but mine aren't focused on the street, but rather the parking lot and the A/C units. Not that it usually does too much good as theives usually pull forward so you can't get a look at the license plate. I wish they would require front and back plates in FL like they do in other states.

Does anyone else remember the news graphic of Lauren Erickson's phone showing one of her texts to Michelle the evening she disappeared? The text said something like "Answer your f***ing phone!" and I believe it showed the time stamp of when it was sent. I know I saw it on a news video but I can't find it now. Does anyone remember this and if so, any idea what station it was on? TIA

There are lots of other options if you want more info but a lot of the pull downs have no info. Not sure if these cameras just don't exist or the site just doesn't have them in the database.

Yes but Lauren also said that there were times when Michelle would be running late and would contact her son to tell him she was going to be a little late. She didn't mind leaving him alone for a short period of time, probably under a half hour, but made arrangements if she knew it was going to be longer.

By the way, for anyone who believes that DSJr did not intentially shove that photographer on his way into court that day, I suggest you watch that video that Gia posted. It is obvious that he deliberately took a step in his direction and elbowed him off the walkway. And this was on his way into a court hearing to get his children back after they were taking away by DCFS because of his violent behaviour.

This is how DSJr behaves towards others when he is stressed and angry. And the fact that he did it that day, of all days, indicates to me that he has no self control over his anger.

I couldn't agree more...I SERIOUSLY wish CPS would reexamine the custody situation and get those children back in the loving arms of Michelle's parents (both sides)...JMO but Dale is a ticking time bomb. Add in his problems with drugs and alcohol and this isn't a good mix...

Thank you Kamille. I thought wrong bc for some reason I thought the text that flashed was from Brad. Yeah, so it adds up when Lauren texted her sister. She probably hung up with "A" & texted Michelle right away - at 6:53. Or maybe she was on a landline with "A" but quick grabbed her cell to text her sister. That's probably when panic mode set in with the family.

Have you heard the stories from his former domestic violence victims? Did you hear the things that he did to Michelle previously? Leaving her alone without shoes in various cities, while he would rive off and just leave her there on her own? Did you see that he threw a heavy object at her while she was holding their baby? And he threatened her by saying " Your day will come...' And you think he is a good guy?

Well according to that site there is one at Lee Vista and S Goldenrod. And what would these cameras show? From what I've read, the cameras are triggered by a computer to take still photos of cars running a red light. They do not appear to take constant video of traffic moving through the intersection.

Yeah I've heard them all a million times and now one more time. I've also heard he was gay and escort had boyfriends is a serial killer and killed his ex wife while he was in jail so maybe he is a teleporting Ninja. My point was I have no idea what to believe anymore. YOU ASKED!
