Would the side and back Glow advertising obstruct her view along with the tinting? I am wondering if someone was to come up along side the hummer if she would see them if they approached the passenger side of the hummer.

It doesn't in my SUV, I can see clearly. Just sayin'.

JMO, the hummer had automatic door locks anyway. It's in the threads here somewhere.

For some reason, it's not updating the posts that I thank today. Don't know what's going on but it has to be on my end, so thank you everyone.

No but now that I think of it they may need it. In the IT industry even consultants work hard to keep up with current tech. I couldn't imagine a LE agency being able to keep up. Maybe the FBI.

If they could get their hands on the data it sure would help. Would tell you the location of the hummer at what times and at what speeds. Obviously if the hummer remained at DS's longer then expected they would have something.

Anyhow I will consider calling it in anyone else of course is free to do so.

Now "if" the vehicle was no longer in the possession of LE or Dale could the data from Onstar still be retrieved by say a vin # or some other unique identifier to the vehicle drive by Michelle?

if onStar had any data regarding the movements of the H3 on the day of Michelle disappereance, the the police already has obtained it by court order, since there are no privacy issues where MP is concerned since she is a missing person. IMO

My fault, I actually should have made my post more clear...

The runner or the carjacker working for the chopshop, or in coordination with any theft ring really, would know how to detatch it before even jacking it, otherwise they'd be stupid bc OnStar could follow them to the chop shop lol. The only thing is they'd have to know if it was disabled to begin with or not bc OnStar has a built in anti theft mechanism that will stall a vehicle or automatically notify 911...unless that wasn't in effect November 2011. When did that go into effect, do you know?

The onStar system is capable of transmitting location information regardless of activation status, and that information would be available in their servers regardless of policy. It would then be relatively easy for LE to procure the data for the reason I have stated in previous posts. IMO

I doubt such data exists or this case would be much further along then it seems to be at the moment. IMO

Thing is, OnStar only tracks vehicles. Not people. So the Hummer could have been driven by anyone (DSjr, accomplice, etc) anywhere and be tracked but that doesn't mean Michelle was in it. JMO

That is undeniably true.

I agree.

I thought I read previously that she met her clients the first time through the beauty shop that her mom and sister ran. So she may have used that number.

You're right. I don't have a link right this second, but either YS or Lauren did say Michelle would have clients meet her at the salon unless she knew them personally. But I think I also heard somewhere that it was Michelle's own phone number on the decals. Not certain on that last bit. I'll have to look through my notes for this.

EDITED TO ADD:

Here ya go-- from the Nancy Grace program, Nov. 28, 2011
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1111/28/ng.01.html

I remember this! Thank you! I also remember questioning that statement bc in all seriousness it could be considered false advertisement & potential clients could complain about the inconvenience of going to the salon when her H3 very clearly informs Mobile Tanning. Kinda seems odd...

Oh, JMO, I bet LE knows the movements of the vehicle. I bet they pulled it already. JMO, how else did they know she went to Kentucky Fried earlier and then pulled that surveillance video? I doubt it was an employee reviewing the tape that spotted it--most tapes wouldn't be reviewed unless there had been a problem at the store, imo. Unless, of course, an employee remembered her, possible but not likely imo. They just don't know the movements of Michelle (or her body) after she got to the condo. JMO

ORLANDO - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Orlando Police Department are assembling a daylong Specialized Multi Agency Review Team (SMART) to examine the evidence collected in the Michelle Parker missing person case. A SMART is assembled to rejuvenate cold cases in an effort to develop additional leads. The SMART is comprised of investigators who have previously worked the Parker case and investigators who have not.

“We never stop looking for answers and the review will allow us to put fresh eyes on this investigation,” says FDLE Assistant Special Agent in Charge Danny Banks.

“I am hopeful the smart panel will develop the one piece of the puzzle in Michelle's disappearance,” says Orlando Police Chief Paul Rooney.

Once the SMART concludes, investigators will follow-up on new evidence or leads.

As I recall that is how it happened, an employee saw the news, remembered her and viewed the tape. They calle LE. I have to wonder how many other tapes are out there, but no one looked for that day?

Waitasec! Are you referring to Martell's, or a different one? Martell's is the nicest along the shore but there's another up by Seaside... My aunt & uncle live in Point Pleasant.

Side note - If it's Martell's, ask them to make you a frozen mojito with Parrot Bay - absolutely delish!

Nope, the Tiki Bar, is an outdoor bar with a live rock band (usually), right on the main strip overlooking the beach. I'm heading there with the three Amigos (minus the Sombreros of course). If you and yours are ever there you would not miss me.

Tuesday, May 29, 2012Wayne Ivey Named to Special Team Reviewing Orlando Missing Mom Case

ORLANDO, Florida -- Wayne Ivey, candidate for Brevard County Sheriff, is part of a special team assembled to review evidence and information in the disappearance of 34-year-old Orlando mother Michelle Parker.

The team of more than 20 current and former law enforcement officers met last week and plans to meet again. The team was assembled by the Orlando Police Department and FDLE and included law enforcement experts from various fields, to include crime scene investigations and crime lab resources.

A former Resident Agent in Charge from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Wayne Ivey was a co-developer of the concept of S.M.A.R.T., or Specialized Multi-Agency Review Team, which may be deployed in “cold cases.” Ivey stated, "By utilizing experts in their field from various agencies to review and analyze cold case homicides and missing person cases, we are able to develop new ideas and strategies that may solve the case, find the missing person, and bring closure for the family and friends."

Ivey was supervisor of the Violent Crime Squad when he helped create S.M.A.R.T., targeted at revisiting unsolved homicides in Central Florida. In S.M.A.R.T., “outsiders” and “insiders” in an investigation go over all aspects of a case in the hopes that “fresh” eyes will lead to results. The program saw immediate success by solving the first three cases in Central Florida that were presented. The S.M.A.R.T. program was also used in Brevard County and is credited with helping solve several cold case homicides.

When asked about S.M.A.R.T., Ivey stated, "It was designed to provide additional resources, through partnerships, to agencies that could not work cold cases. The concept was also to give a fresh set of eyes to the case so that tunnel vision would not control the case. New technology and developments in DNA were also considered in developing the program." Since its initial success, S.M.A.R.T. has been used throughout Florida and was recognized with a statewide award for team concept, innovation, and cost saving measures.
