I'm curious as to what the new video will be. I'm trying to remember what she did earlier in the day? Possibly a hair appointment and shoe shopping was mentioned, but its been a long time and I cant remember if that ever happened. The KFC video was a surprise to me when it was released, we weren't aware she had stopped there, were we?

Outside of the fact that wishing suspects to prove or convince others of their innocence is not how cases are solved practically, I can only say that rehashing the same theories and complaints over and over again is not going to get Michelle home a moment sooner, this comes down to evidence ... evidence that lead to where Michelle is and evidence to convict who's responsible for her disappearance, nothing more and nothing less then that, and it's a bad sign when one's long on convictions and short on the evidence to prove them, nevertheless the debate seems to always focus on DS and while I share the frustrations I have nothing to say on Dale that I have not said many times before and after all I'm not Dale's advocate, never have been, and based on how things have developed in this case it doesn't seem he needs one (an advocate) at least at this point, although one would not necessarily think so by reading this thread.

You're trying so hard to fire folks up to contact LEO to do more, yet calling on the last person to see her alive to take a lie detector test is a problem? I'm not saying he did anything...never have. BUT, IMO the fact that he refuses to fully cooperate is the biggest impediment to finding her. Just because LE is short on proof just means it's time to put even more light on those that LE have the most to go on, not turn a blind eye. There is a woman missing...a mom, a daughter. DS should step up not just to prove his innocence, but because him passing a LDT would really help push the investigation into other avenues and help alleve the worries of very concerned grandparents that her children are in safe hands. He should do it because it's the right thing to do.

Two years ago this case seemed like a pretty obvious case of domestic homicide. Two years and 23 threads later it still appears that way to me.

Hoping the video that will be released tomorrow will help to jog the memory or conscience of someone and put the person or persons responsible for the loss of Michelle, to her beautiful children and family, on trial.

Also hoping that someone, somewhere, whether by design or accident, stumbles on what I believe will be Michelle's remains and gives her family some closure.

A very sad "anniversary".

Did they already show the video of the neighbors that showed the Hummer?

Why would they show it at this point.. 2 years later? At least they still have her case very active. Something probably happened recently or will be happening to inspire them to release this video.

My heart breaks for Yvonne. She is really one of the nicest people I've even known. She is really close to her kids and grandkids. She misses Michelle and the twins so much. So sad that anyone should have to go through that much heartache. Prayers that some closure comes soon and that she gets to see the twins over the holidays.

I can't find any info that Dale ever took a lie detector test...and everything seems to point to the fact that he refuses to take one.

What we can do is call on Dale to take a lie detector test. The police can only move forward when they have all the ducks to put in a row. If he passes a LDT, it would change the whole dynamic of the investigation. Refusal to take one...well of course that's going to point the ball in his direction. For his kids' sake, why wouldn't he take one so they know he did everything to help find their mom?

In a perfect world, LDTs would be foolproof and he'd have taken one. Unfortunately, we live in this world.

The reason I can't hold the absence of a LDT against Dale is that, if I were in his shoes *and completely innocent*, I would almost certainly not submit to one.

It's one of those "absence of evidence" issues for me. While IMO the probative value would be questionable even if we did have it, the fact that we don't is, to me, irrelevant. Even for an innocent person, there are plenty of very good reasons not to take a LDT.

Maybe the Hummer leaving the condos...? I'm anxious to see and I hope it breaks Michelle's case open, whatever it is!

Well nothing happens without a reason so there must be one for the police to release previous undisclosed evidence. Staying as close to the facts today while still trying to moderately read into the immediate future without jumping any gun unnecessarily there are three possibilities that come to my mind at this time.

1. They finally are employing a strategy of involving the public more directly by disclosing evidence that might help find potential eyewitness. I've been hoping for this for a long time.

2. They are about to make an arrest, although I find this not very likely, should that be the case I'd assume they'd make the arrest first then release evidence during discovery at trial not the other way around, besides this is not newly discovered evidence as I understand.

3. Because we've reached the milestone of two years into Michelle's disappearance this might be the result of a PR consideration, not unlike the much publicized "gathering of experts" that took place not so long ago together with the usual vague statements. Let's hope that is not the case here.

However I guess any news is good news at this point, all things considered.

I just can't imagine why they would wait two years to disclose evidence. :banghead:

I agree, Thor, an imminent arrest is unlikely. And, whatever motivation LE has in releasing this information now, I hope that it brings a resolution to Michelle's case.
