Does anyone have any more info regarding the 55-gallon drum that was taken to a landfill? I believe it was referenced in Dale's deposition. Dale was asked this question but didn't answer it.

In this 2022 profile done by WFTV, Investigative reporter Shannon Butler is speaking with Bill Moore, a former MBI Task Force Agent who was assigned to the Electronics Surveillance unit and working on this case. This convo in particular stood out to me. [Timestamp: @15:34]

[Bill Moore]: I can't go into the details of the investigation on that side of it.

[Shannon Butler]: You can't tell me what technology you used on Dale?
[Bill Moore]: There was technology used that has never been used before in an Orange County case.

[Shannon Butler]: Can you tell me what that technology is?
[Bill Moore]: No.

[Shannon Butler]: How come?
[Bill Moore]: The records are sealed by the court.

[Shannon Butler]: On what technology you used?
[Bill Moore]: On the search warrant to get to utilize the technology, yes.

And even more difficult to convict without a body... But there's always hope in knowing there's no statute of limitations for murder! I'm reminded of the 1982 Brighton Ax unsolved murder of Cathy Krauseneck that ended with the conviction of her husband in 2022.

There are only three ways to solve a homicide, he told FOX 35 in 2023. You have to have physical evidence, witnesses, or a confession, Kennedy explained. The majority of the time, the suspect confesses.

"A lot of people would be surprised to know that only about 15% of homicides are solved with physical evidence. About 35% of homicides are solved with witnesses," Kennedy said.
