I am really surprised that they found drugs during the raid. I would have expected he'd get rid of anything like that. Seems odd. imo

I'm not saying they did just maybe, but why would they hide anything? Did they know that the swat team was coming? For all we know they found a half smoked joint and a bowl in the garage with resin in it. This would still be a violation.

I'm confused  and it doesn't take much. I have the route going over the Hoffner Road bridge and it's the exact same bridge Bob Kealing just tweeted about.

when i look at the map you posted it shows the route over nela ave not hoffner

That's funny, when I looked at it, it was Hoffner.

telemag, you may be on to something here. What if he got probation for those 2010 charges and something was indeed found during the raid thus violating the terms of his probation thus resulting in the new charges. Isn't that how probation works?
I don't think police usually call and let you know when they are coming to your house to raid it.

Except the info said SELL/MANUFACTURE/DELIVER CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 893.13(1)(A)(2) Third Degree - Felony

I'm no mary jane expert, but I am pretty sure that a half smoked joint would not qualify as Sell or Manufacture... those things don't multiply themselves in a bowl in the garage right?

We do not know if the information about the drugs back in 2010 are Dale, Sr.'s. This man as far as I can tell has no criminal record; maybe a traffic violation.

Here's the map link:

And here is a screen shot of the route on the map. Not sure if other map's have been provided but this is the one I created and keep updated.

I looked at all the cases filed today and that number is not there.

From the posted article, seems that cases are numbered consecutively, according to when they are obtained. The number for this one says 482011CF016494000AOX. Is there a case numbered 016493? And one numbered 016495?

This Dale Wayne Smith has a birth date of 11/24/47, and would be 64.

I've read these threads a long time, but never post (sit here and talk to you out loud, but this is my first post). I'm a paralegal by profession and I saw this and decided to go look myself at the Orange County Clerk site. I have to say? When you run that case number that was posted - there is no such case number I see comes up at all. Period. Nor anyone with THAT particular date of birth with the name Dale W Smith, for that matter. something seems extremely hinky about this one. JMHO

I would think it would totally depend on what the terms of his probation were (assuming he got some sort of probation that is). If he got probation and the terms state that he was not allowed to have any weed in his possession at any time and he violated those terms then isn't he then charged with the original charges? That's how it works out here in California anyways.

I can't pull it up either. But that is a 2011 case number. 2011-CF-016494-A-O, in that the '2011-CF' means it's a 2011 felony. I wonder what the June 2010 date is all about? That makes no sense whatsoever. I have looked up soooo many cases on that site as I've lived in Orange County my whole life and have never seen anything like that. Or one just disappear.

Here is info from (guess who...) Richard Hornsby's blog about the case numbering system:

http://blog.richardhornsby.com/2009/09/floridas-uniform-case-numbering-system/

It would make more sense if the case number started with 2010, not 2011.
