I followed the opening link to another story about 4 men being arrested in an online sting in Hillsborough County.

One of the suspects arrested is only 16 years old!

I'm ecstatic that FL is finally cracking down on these child- loving freaks!

Did a google map of his address and it doesnt look like he has much of a yard. Alley in back. Houses are really close together with alleys in St Pete.

Sunday, on the way to my Mom's for dinner, I am going by this house and if any neighbors are OUT I will talk to them. I will let them understand I am a conerned citizen and nothing more...... maybe I will be able to get info on this .

I wish Pinellas would put occupation or place of employment on their arrest records like Hillsborough does.

I am with you all, I would like to know more, as far as dates missing, ages, areas missing from, etc., however, it looks as if the forensic investigation into John Kenneth Jacksons is not complete and really just begun.... The link I first posted says this...

All of the evidence will be sent for forensic analysis in hopes of tracing back the images to the location of the missing children. Other images of children seized showed children who appeared to be three years old and younger.

69 years old, ya just know, he's been at this a long time....
In my mind, I hope that this leads to the missing children, but in my heart, well, I don't want it to be so, I am just so sad for all the children abused in any way, but for it to be photographed or videoed and exploited .... I just get sickened and angry at the same time and I believe I could kill anyone, with my bare hands, that did such vile and despicable acts....

Those pictures are creepy. Mostly because they all look so normal (besides the 16 year old - ironically, he's kind of what I envision a pedophile to look like).

I guess I imagine a monster when I think of pedophiles, but the truth is, it could be the guy next to you at the bar or your neighbor.

I am so torn about them finding missing children in photos and identifying them from the missing sites. Yes, it means they were kept alive to do disgusting things...but where are they now? I cannot imagine the parents having to hear their children being used for this and are still missing. It is horrifying.

Still, knowing they were not immediately murdered is a sign they could be alive. It makes me wonder the ages of the children when they went missing and the ages at the time of the photos.

I only pray they can find them in time. Glad to get those POSs out of society and away from their computers. GRRRRR!

Why are there so many freaks out there who are drawn to children for sexual purposes? I hate to put it in these terms, but it's obviously an issue of supply and demand. It is NOT normal and we, as a society, need to take a much stronger stand against it. There are soooooo many missing children. If we don't take the bull by the horns here, innocent babies will continue to be snatched right out of their lives.

What needs to be done to stop this? IMO, the media needs to be hard core in reporting these crimes. Plaster the names and pictures of the *men* (mostly) who are hurting these children all over the news. Parents everywhere must be forced to be aware of the dangers that exist - in big cities and small towns everywhere. No purpose is served by sweeping such cases under the rug. Those of us on WS know what happens, almost daily. But I don't believe most people really do know.

I see very young children walking to school - ALONE - nearly everyday. I just cannot understand why parents allow this. If you can't walk or drive your children to school, find another parent who can! Is it not worth swallowing your pride to protect your children?

I just don't get it.

Fairy1, I totally agree with everything you just said. I have been on vacation all week (which has been glorious!!!), and we have been blessed to stay in a really nice ocean front condo. I have been horrified on several occasions to see young children get on the elevator of this 29 story resort alone!!!! There was one little girl who was only about 8 years old, and she was riding the elevator and wandering around the resort all by herself!!!! I latter saw her out by the pool with some siblings, and the father was the only person in site, and he was letting them run all over the complex while he sat in a chair. Horrifying.....simply horrifying.

I think the freaks have always been there. Growing up I knew who the 'bad men' were. Word got around. One was my grandparents neighbor and the other was my friend's grandfather. We were told not to be alone with them and you just got a creepy feeling from them. Point I'm trying to make though is people move around a lot now... families aren't the same and neighbors don't look out for each other they way they used to. Who is around now to tell a woman to be watchful of that old geezer 1/2 mile down the road? Not saying these gross pervs shouldn't be arrested -- they SHOULD. I was never molested (thank god) but without the warnings how would I have even known? How would my mom? I suppose back then any nastiness was hushed up.

You know I can't help but wonder. First I hear that there is a bust involving the neighbors in the Cantu case. Then very soon after there is a big bust in other Fla. counties. Now there are possible connections to other unnamed missing children cases. Are they connected or is it just coincidence?

The children in the pictures they found on his computer may not have been of missing children. They may have been of know victims meaning it was not new unknown pictures.

The National center for missing and exploited children keeps records of all illegal images to help with discovering new victims verses known victims.
I found this out when i got ahold of a ZUNE with the most disturbing pictures ,i wish i had never seen. They guy who downloaded them was arrested and the dectective let me know that it was not new and the victims had been "safe" for about seven years.
He said to find that out he had NCMEC go over the images.

Soulmagent--I have to ask, did the detective happen to tell you how long they keep children's photos in the database? Our kids' pornographic photos have been floating around cyberspace for 12 years now and they've never been able to pin them down. They've never shown up in a bust. We KNOW they were taken. It was part of the investigation. We were asked, by the FBI, to provide formal and candid photos of each child. I've waited for a call every day since. That's 12 years. One of the survivors, my son who is 20, recently asked me if they'll ever find the photos taken of him. It just breaks my heart.
