WFTV obtained a video of Caballero walking through the parking lot of the Arden Villas apartments after Marcano went missing, carrying what her family said resembled items belonging to her.

“We were given that video right away,” Mina said. “That video led us to be able to do a search warrant on Caballero’s apartment and vehicle.”

Mina did not disclose what evidence investigators found.

So some new information in there - the prime suspect’s apartment and car had already been searched before he committed suicide? And that he was found in his apartment deceased?
I’m not sure if all the reporting is accurate as there’s so much information out there.

So it looks like the video that Miya’s family took, which is widely available on social media, was taken during daylight hours, which must have been Saturday. So he had a lot of hours to take her to a second location.
This is just so awful and I just pray they find her today.

The question is…how many hours? Did he somehow disguise her and leave early on or did he wait until late/early morning hours to move her? Timing is so important. One gives him a larger time frame to drive and leave her somewhere. The other, gives him less time, therefore she’s closer. It could narrow down areas to search. I hope more than anything she is alive. Even sick from drinking whatever was necessary to stay alive. The longer we go though without contact with her…it’s definitely disheartening. I can’t imagine what it feels like for a loved one to be missing. Gone. The mental acrobats. Ugh.

I dont stop by often but Miya's complex is only a half mile from where my UCF student daughter and I used to rent. So, I know the area well.
It is a very busy area with many apt complexes, and Publix plaza nearby ; as well as a very popular pub across the street.
Arden Villas is only two blocks from the main UCF entrance .
With 40,000 students across the street--- I'm surprised at how quickly they narrowed the POI to one Arden employee.
Seems to me that a 19 yr old may have attracted any number of followers, in a male-dominant area full of fraternities.

It is a very busy area with many apt complexes, and Publix plaza nearby ; as well as a very popular pub across the street.

Gosh this is so very true. Young women are always at risk in my opinion. In 2011, we did the college tour across the state with our oldest. At the Tampa USF campus, it had 40,000 students. My daughter was overwhelmed and scared. Then, we went to FIT (Florida Institute of Technology) in Melbourne. All those boys scared the daylights out of her. The FIT alumni had women graduates call her to entice her to come to school there. Nope, she wasn't having it. No way.

Perhaps I used that expression "It's that other chromosome!" one too many times over the years..... Honestly tho, I'm glad she made the choice to go where she did. [Harriet Wilkes Honors College in Jupiter, FL]

I read somewhere that he was found hanging. I don’t know if LEO did ever speak to him as it seems now that it was just Miya’s loved ones who did.

they did but he wasnt a suspect at the time. he was found hanging in a garage used to store paint.

i feel like that link isnt accurate, because it says he was found dead in his apt. but he was found dead in a garage they stored paint in. im still not clear where he actually lived.

The family figured it out pretty quickly and alerted law enforcement. Miya had disclosed to one or more of them that the POI was giving her unwanted attention.

And it sounds like women had previously complained about this guy, from another article!

Yeah, it doesn't help much to do background checks, if management hires someone who has a charge of Aggravated Assault!

Unbelievable how many red flags there were now that details are coming out. So many mistakes in hiring this one employee. Poor Miya. Those other victims of this creep must feel so sad, scared and wondering who else is in the vicinity that hasn't been vetted? Who else is entering their unit and rifling thru their stuff?

Hmmm. Surely if the bedroom door was blocked and the apartment was in disarray then why would a teddy bear be the one thing that led them to believe something was wrong, I wonder.
