No, sorry Daisy I don't.

I got extremely sidetracked.

Anybody have any idea why Adji Desir is NOT in NamUs?
I went to NamUs to get a list of missing in FL and he is not on the list.
Have the authorities forgotten to enter him? Could it be possible they are still working a DNA profile for him from the family members?
Why, oh why is Adji NOT in NamUs????

I don't know - but I think it is worth an email to Collier County to ask. Do you want to do that, or shall I?

Also, I am going to copy these posts to Adji's thread. Thanks for the info.

Thank you Salem, Would you please? I am rather..well...slightly upset now. Shocked and hoping their is a reasonable explanation like they are working on it and he is not just forgotten. Maybe you should be sure you can't find him there either. I am just...just...ugh.

OT: I have named one of the dogs I am training for SAR Adji as a tribute to him and in hopes of finding him one day. I guess it has become a little personal for me now.

Thank you Salem.

I can not find him here either:

http://www.fdle.state.fl.us/MCICSearch/Index.asp

Maybe I am doing something wrong?
I enter his name like this "Adji Desir".

I am sorry to change the subject of the thread, I should take it to his huh?
Can others here try and find him in those two data bases please? I just have to be doing something wrong here.

ETA: Adji is on the site linked in this post but still not found at NamUs.

IFthe body was wrapped up in a blanket/sheet and the plastic container was closed up.
How long would it take for a body to be a skeleton?
no contact with animals or allot of insect activity?

Adji is on AMW and CANS. I am going to move to his thread now but will keep this window open.

The black plastic container is most likely the FDLE Field Crime Lab Kit and not what contained the remains. I would be concerned about why children were walking out in that wooded area known to be frequented by vagrants in the first place.

“It’s a skeleton at this point,” Martin said. “We’re laying it out so we know what we’ve got and what we don’t have.”
Martin said it was too early to determine whether foul play had been involved in the death of the person, whose bones were found Sunday by neighborhood children.

He said there was no way, until the bones are studied in a laboratory setting, to determine the race, sex or age of the victim.

Martin also said it is unclear how much the body has been exposed to the elements and scavengers, and therefore they can’t determine immediately how long the person has been dead.

“Right now we’ve collected what is seen to us in the open,” he said. “We’ve photographed, measured, picked up and assembled everything in one location so that we can tell what bones are present and what bones are not present.”

I am from Niceville, I live a couple of miles from this location and was trying to find more information on line when I came accross this thread. There was no mention of the skeleton being inside of any type of storage container or having blankets, sheets, or stuffed animals with it. Not sure how that came about or why everyone is discussing it but it is not true.
This area is farely close to a subdivision and there are children riding their bikes through this area and playing quite often. I pray the remains are not from a child but no matter the age and sex, someone has lost a child. I hope they will be able to identify the remains and given him or her a proper burrial.

Father who identified remains as human shares details

11:30 a.m. UPDATE:

The father of the girl who found the human remains behind Twin Cities Hospital said she and friends located what they thought were human remains on Saturday afternoon.

Leon Perkins, who lives on Hart Drive, said he was watching football with friends when the girls came in. Perkins said it was dark at the time, so he went the next morning to investigate.

That's when he saw a human skull, a jawbone about 20 feet away, some ribs and other bones. Perkins immediately called 911.

“You could tell it had been there awhile,” he said. “That may have lessened the seriousness of it. It wasn’t like seeing a dead body.”

I drove by the taped of "crime scene" area just a few minutes ago and there is not any LE there any longer. They must have completed their search of the area. I hope that they give an update soon with more identifying information.

The human skeletal remains, which were found by local children playing in the woods behind the Twin Cities Hospital in Niceville have been positively identified.
The yellow tape is coming down after the skeletal remains found in these woods here have been confirmed to belong to a 57-year -old white male transient from California.
The bones were found among a campsite along with personal items, leading authorities to believe this person was a vagrant.
Dental records helped medical examiners make a positive determination of the man.
At this time foul play is not suspected, and the Niceville Police Department is continuing their investigation.
"Right now we’re in the process of identification and the medical examiner is assisting us on that” said Joseph Forgione, an investigator with the Niceville Police Department.
The name of the identified man is not being released yet pending next-of-kin notification.
If you have any information on this case you are asked to call the Niceville Police Department at 729-4030.
