GUILTY FL - Nicole Montalvo, 35, failed to pick up her son from school, St. Cloud, 21 Oct 2019 *arrests*

Watching the news now - they are continuing to search so now I’m thinking the body was dismembered - and they can’t tell from what parts they have found and they are being extremely cautious IMO-
Even with Mackenzie lueck the burning didn’t destroy the body when they found her in the desert - after what was done to Kelsey Berreth and Jennifer farber (Dulos) I’m not putting anything past them at this point - JMO
ETA source WESH.com 11 pm news
Not to get too gruesome - but even with dismembered body parts, can't they identify female vs male, particularly from less than one week, unless burned? Wondering if there are additional/older bodies also buried there?

@oviedo, I've not seen a case recently where it wasn't possible to determine male/female. But didn't they have this issue in the Las Vegas case where the remains were burned and so it took a lot of forensic work to determine who the bones were? I didn't follow that case closely but do recall reading something about the impact of burning on bones. Did you follow that case? MOO
Exactly - seems the only likely scenario in this short a time where they wouldn't be able to identify male/female.

Mother never picked up son from school, deputies say
They updated this to include the details of her prior assault
Snipped
Court records show a turbulent history between the couple, including the husband's arrest in an alleged assault and a divorce filing.

According to records, Montalvo wrote a letter to a judge to get restrictions against him eased up after the alleged attack.

According to a criminal complaint, Montalvo told investigators she met her estranged husband in a parking lot when she was attacked.

She said a woman with her husband pulled her out of her car and then threw her to the ground.

The complaint said Montalvo's husband then grabbed her head and attempted to break her neck.

She said he slapped her across the face several times because he didn't like that she was texting a friend and took his son.

Authorities said the woman with him allegedly put a knife to Montalvo's throat and threatened to kill her.

Her estranged husband pleaded no contest to some of the charges in that case, but the woman, who was also arrested, went to trial.
Oh my God, reading this- I can't imagine how frightened she had to have been around him. I am sure she must have been nervous dropping her son off with him. Perhaps she thought that maybe with his parents there, he wouldn't do anything violent in front of them toward her or their son.

Praying their son is in a safe location, far far away from this monster!

@oveido, thanks for the update! Will go online now to see if any videos are available.
"Possible remains of a human being" as if they aren't even sure the remains are from a human. If only it were from a previously buried pet and she were still safe.

Hopefully the school did not release the child to anyone related to the father, or to him.

Too sad... and still scary.

I hope that the statements from LE were vetted by ME prior to being released to press about the bones found. I am worried about the son and whether he is in safe hands as I don't believe LE has made a statement that he is a protected environment. We know nothing about the extended family issues on either side of the family and IMO the child has to be safeguarded until there is clarity with this situation. MOO

Yes I’m hoping that as well but with both father and son arrested something happened for sure IMO - good to see you here @Steelslady im going to give this one my all so we don’t have a repeat of Michelle Parker

No mention of where the boy is / he could still be with his dads mother at the house where the remains were found for all we know - they all lived there together from news reports

From what I understand, they can tell the difference between men/women's teeth.

Abstract
Two hundred and fifty school children in Ibadan metropolis, comprising of 125 male and 125 females were chosen by modified random sampling to study their tooth sizes (mesiodistal width) and to establish if there is any appreciable sex-difference in their permanent tooth sizes. The teeth measured were selected based on certain criteria. The mesio-distal width of a tooth was recorded as the maximum distance between the tooth sides (proximal) of a tooth on a line parallel to the occlusal and buccal surfaces. The result showed that the male teeth were consistently larger than the female teeth. The summed total maxillary and mandibular arch width of the males were 3.31 mm and 1.37 mm greater than those of the females respectively. The differences in tooth size between males and females have been established.

Interesting how they've jailed the woman who had earlier helped the husband pull Nicole out of the car when he attacked her - news report said they jailed her on a probation charge, not saying if stemming from that same case. Do they think she had something to do with this, I wonder, or perhaps trying to get info from her...?

Since the reports say she failed to pick the child up from school I'm HOPING that the teachers kept him (as they have done in some other cases), knew about the prior DV, and did NOT release the child to the father or any of his relatives.

HOPING.

I'd be real surprised if they didn't clear the family out completely once the warrants were signed. That was a huge LE presence we saw today and it looked like they were going to process all 5 acres according to what LE said later in the day to the Press.

Her dad made a plea on fb - I think the dad picked him up Tuesday because at that point she just didn’t pick him up - I think she was reported missing around 5? Which leads me to believe the boy was picked up since school is out around 3?

I'm replying to my own post, They also have DNA from the tooth itself. I just want to clarify.

I’m trying to recall other cases when a warrant is served - unless the occupants are under arrest they can’t make them leave IIRC - but my guess is they left and went on down to 3921 Hixon IMO - of course if we had the two new arrest warrants they may specify where these arrests took place

I think if the warrant has the house and buildings as search locations that the occupants must leave. Will have to double check this in the am and it might be clearer once the AWs are released by LE.

Oh no - I just realized you mean the child's father picked him up. :( . At first I was hoping it was Nicole's father. :(

Thanks, @oviedo , I will do my best to help you all out.

There is no doubt in my mind she is deceased. Not after reading his violent acts against her. Imagine he had a girlfriend or whatever she was setting up an attack like that, so he could slap her and try to break her neck. My heart just goes out to her for what she lived through, and her son, too, had he been a witness to any of this.

My thoughts are with her son and her family. I hope they get answers soon if this is Nicole that LE has found. I'd say yes but they're being smart and playing it safe with how they word things in front of the media. They didn't arrest her ex-husband and father-in-law because they were renting rooms at the local jail. They're both there for a damn good reason, but under other charges until DNA and other evidence becomes available and more clear as to how this went down.

Usually, LE is very careful about what they disclose immediately after finding a body... this particular group of LEOs seem extremely hesitant to reveal what’s happening in general imo... remember when they stated ex wasn’t at all a poi yet they had tents and were digging etc...
they found her body but they’re keeping everything so tight lipped that we can’t help hanging off every word!
I do think it’s very possible she was burned since the neighbor who talked about bulldozer talked about fires o_O
They do quite a bite of garbage burning, which isn't too unusual in this area but like I said the bulldozer was something that was definitely out of place,"

Imo a fire could VERY quickly obscure the sex of a human to those observing the recovered body... definitely a job for ME :(

This has shades of the Kelsey Berreth case to me. Fools they were, burning on their property. Driving her car several miles away. The only difference is that her phone was shut off.

At least they didn't appear to bring her ashes to a landfill.

LE wasn't there digging up animal bones, in my opinion. They know much more. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if there was other evidence found on the property that show foul play was involved. Weapon, for example. Blood stains or urine stains, if it happened in the home.

I think they have the right ones in jail.
