Not to get too gruesome - but even with dismembered body parts, can't they identify female vs male, particularly from less than one week, unless burned? Wondering if there are additional/older bodies also buried there?Watching the news now - they are continuing to search so now I’m thinking the body was dismembered - and they can’t tell from what parts they have found and they are being extremely cautious IMO-
Even with Mackenzie lueck the burning didn’t destroy the body when they found her in the desert - after what was done to Kelsey Berreth and Jennifer farber (Dulos) I’m not putting anything past them at this point - JMO

Exactly - seems the only likely scenario in this short a time where they wouldn't be able to identify male/female.@oviedo, I've not seen a case recently where it wasn't possible to determine male/female. But didn't they have this issue in the Las Vegas case where the remains were burned and so it took a lot of forensic work to determine who the bones were? I didn't follow that case closely but do recall reading something about the impact of burning on bones. Did you follow that case? MOO
