Police Chief said only the handgun was recovered from apt.
All were shot with handgun.
I read earlier that apt. belonged to GF and suspect just spent some
nights there.

380 handgun. Now LE says suspect stole gun from his father's
home. Earlier said suspect inherited all 5 guns from father.
GF has a friend who is atty. speaking for her, so this new fact
maybe lawyer-speak so his family is not help liable due to suspect being a convicted felon and not allowed to possess a gun.

14 Officers from Doral Fl. PD where Officer Valencia used to work,
visited him in hospital today and reported he squeezed hands and
an arm when they spoke to him.
Hope this is an indication he's healing and improving.

I wonder if they will release publicly the approximate times of the children's deaths. I would like to know.

Chief Mina was asked that question again today in the PC.
He said they don't know and are awaiting info from Medical
examiner.

Just in- WFTV- Orlando
Police just announced that the 4 children were killed either right
before the confrontation between Lindsey and LE or right after
shots were fired by Lindsey through the door hitting Officer Valencia.
So they were dead all along even though he told Channel 9 he would release them if he could talk with his girlfriend/mother
of kids.

I would like to see a timeline of the calls he made to Channel 9

and to see if the children were heard in the background.
I guess there's a chance he DID use the kids as a negotiating tool.

It would not surprise me if that son of a gun wanted to tell the gf. himself that the children were killed so that he could "enjoy " her pain?
Also thinking/speculating that he killed the kids first, then shot the LE with the expectation that they would shoot him dead right there and then.
All speculation, imo.

Yesterday Chief Mina said they did not know how long the children had been dead. He said they had to wait until the Medical Examiner made that determination. Today they're saying a
"Homicide Detective" stated the children were asleep when killed.
Why didn't they know this yesterday or before now?
Where is the statement from the Medical Examiner stating how
long the children had been dead? Just wondering cause
this would look really bad for the "negotiators from PD" if he killed
them right before he killed himself Mon. evening.

What a shame! If these children were asleep when he shot them, maybe they didn’t suffer much fear and trauma. Certainly not the 30+ hours the hostage situation went on for!

Of course, the 🤬🤬🤬 lived a lot longer than he deserved due to the fact LE was being careful because of the children in the house. Wonder if LE asked to speak or hear the kiddos at anytime to verify they were still alive?

Chief Mina has said several times they had poor phone communication with Lindsey during the negotiations because
Lindsey was using a WiFi phone. On Monday Chief said an officer
offered to give Lindsey his phone and tried to get it to him. ????
Chief also said they communicated with Lindsey using friends,
family and social media.
I also wondered why LE didn't ask to speak to children.
Mina said several times "There was no evidence there was a threat
towards the children. " " No evidence the children were in danger."

WFTV 6/14-
Officer Valencia is still listed in Critical Condition.

  • #115
Since he most likely killed the children before or right after they got there, there wasn't really anything they could've done differently imo.

Just terrible. Praying he will have a full recovery.

Are they no longer saying that he is expected to recover?

Are they no longer saying that he is expected to recover?
I haven't heard them say that since early in this week.
This is day 5, I hope he starts showing improvement.
