Winkles did admit to some of those crimes on his death bed in prison but didn’t admit to Patricia’s murder .
Thanks for this. I've always thought the car was found across US 19 in front of Anderson Park. Days Inn is long gone. There's a huge indoor gun range there now, a brand new dunkin next to that and an old waffle house or dunkin style building that looks abandoned now. I wonder if the perp was at Ramada Inn bar and asked her to give him a ride back to his motel, aka the days inn, as a ruse.![]()

Car has been described as both a 1969 Chevelle and a 1969 Malibu. It was located on U.S. 19 in the parking lot of the Days Inn Motel in Tarpon Springs on June 1, 1978. Newspaper reports say that the keys to the vehicle were not found.
