A man suspected of being the “Pillowcase Rapist” who sexually assaulted dozens of women in South Florida in the 1980s was convicted on Wednesday in one of the attacks, prosecutors said.
The man, Robert Eugene Koehler, 63, of Palm Bay, Fla., was found guilty of one count each of sexual battery, kidnapping and burglary in connection with a 1983 cold case in which a 25-year-old woman was stabbed and raped in her home in Miami-Dade County.
Mr. Koehler, a registered sex offender, was arrested in 2020 after officials linked him through DNA evidence to at least 25 sexual assaults in the 1980s in Miami-Dade County alone, including the
1983 attack, according to a prosecutor.

He faces a maximum possible sentence of life in prison in that case, and faces charges in similar cases from the 1980s in neighboring Broward County...

I'm not clear on what you're looking for. I did find a list of 5 Pending cases that all list a version of sexual assault. None of them have information, the Hearing & Docket areas are blank.

These are the only I am looking for! I do see it says pending - so I shall wait a few weeks - and see if they have officially charged him. And I will change my # from 6 to 5.

None of the cases have a court date. They seem to all have the same list of document but none of them are particularly informative. Date Filed is the Offense Date.

‘Pillowcase rapist’ faces 17 years in prison after Miami-Dade judge drops sexual battery conviction

DNA tech advances helped detectives to identify an infamous serial rapist who was sentenced on Thursday in Miami-Dade County court — but not for rape.

Even though Koehler was convicted of a 1983 sexual battery in January, Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Daryl Trawick said he decided to drop the charge because the statute of limitations had expired.

Trawick said he used the sentencing guidelines that were in effect at the time of the crimes to sentence Koehler to 17 years for armed kidnapping and 17 years for armed burglary with assault or battery.

Trawick ordered that Koehler serve the sentences concurrently, at the same time, and get credit for time served.
