Seminole county deputies are looking for a missing 12-year-old boy.

Rasheen Middleton was last seen on Healing Place in Oveido, deputies said. Due to the child's age, investigators say Middleton could be endangered.

Middleton was last seen wearing a green t-shirt, khaki long pants and blue Nike sneakers.

Investigators from the SCSO Juvenile Justice Division were called when Rasheen could not be located and believe him to be endangered because of his age.*

Anyone with information on where Rasheen*may be is asked to call 911 or Sgt Coyle and Investigator Green with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office Juvenile Justice Division at 407-474-8687.*

“Staff reports that they were with him, they went to check on some other kids that were helping them put lunch together and Rasheen had left,” said Boys Town Executive Director Greg Zbylut. "He did not mention that he had any thoughts about leaving."

Community Based Care of Central Florida said Rasheen left a message with his case worker and asked for a call back, then disappeared from a back porch about 30 minutes later.

They said he walked outside to calm down after not getting hold of the case worker.

“To be honest with you, case workers do a heck of a job,” said Zbylut. “They’re in the lives of many kids and sometimes, you can’t get ahold of them just like you may not be able to get ahold of me.”

He said they have had older teenagers, usually in the 17-or 18-year-old range, walk away before, but it’s rare for this to happen with younger children.

“We want Rasheen to be found as quickly as possible. We want our community to be very conscious that there could be a young man out there,” said Zbylut.

He said there are no plans to make changes to the center.*

"This is not a campus where we have locks or gates on doors," he said. "It's very family style. That helps kids became more comfortable. In this situation, it allowed Rasheen to leave more easily."*

12 years old... Please go back Rasheen, let them help you with whatever problems you're having. You have your whole life ahead of you, you can do good and amazing things with it!

I'm really worried he is going to get mixed up in some really bad stuff if he gets in with the wrong people.

I wonder if he is going to try to go home, maybe he felt like he didn't belong at the facility. Maybe he felt like he learned his lesson for whatever put him there. I'm hoping he shows up at his home, wherever that is...

He is only 5 ft tall and 107 lbs. He would look very young so that is dangerous. He will attract a lot of unwanted attention. I really hope he went to someone who is taking good care of him for now. :candle:

I just got a message from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office (via Next Door)
and was unable to copy but they report
this young man has been located and he's in good health! Will keep looking for updates.
