Rick Merrill and Dori Colyer (age 24 & 20) left the Hilltop Bar in Brooksville Florida at 1am on May 9, 1981, telling friends they'd be back in a half an hour.

At 2:30am, Rick's car was found less than two miles away, fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters discovered the charred remains of Rick and Dori inside.

The cause of the fire was arson. The coroner found Rick and Dori were burned alive.

At a press conference less than 3 months after the double murder, Brooksville (FL) police announced 4 suspects in the double murder of Rick and Dori. They refused to provide names, or any other suspect details.

Almost 42 years later, the killers still walk free.
