FL FL - Roberto Fernandes, Serial Killer In 3 South Florida Cold Case Murders - announced Aug 2021

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A serial killer responsible for the deaths of three women 20 years ago has been identified.

Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony announced Tuesday morning, their investigators worked with Miami police investigators to determine that Roberto Wagner Fernandes, a Brazilian national, was their killer.

Suspicion fell on Fernandes, who lived in Miami, as a potential suspect after Good’s murder. He fled to Brazil before he could be questioned.

Investigators have not closed the book on Fernandes, they believe he may be responsible for other unsolved murders in South Florida.

I'm looking for information that I'm having trouble finding. If anyone here knows where to find it, I'd appreciate it.

~~ Anything about the murders before the killer was identified. Articles, tv segments, online sites, etc.

~~ Information about the victims. Who they were, their stories, etc.

I did a search on this site and could only find one of the victims mentioned once in a post about the unknown LI serial killer.

Ok I found one from the Sun Sentinel from Aug 11, 2000 written by Ardy Friedberg (not clear on 'links rules' so I put that extra info!)

It mainly covers Sia Demas but also mentions Kim Dietz-Livesey and several other murdered women.

Unfortunately the author takes extra effort to show the negative aspects of Demas's life. Truth can be told, but it's over the top.
