I can't believe this guy hasn't been caught. Every time I see the thread I keep hoping to see captured or apprehended has been added to the thread title.

I think he's in another jurisdiction by now, but where? Hard to track a guy who could be anywhere.

All the more infuriating knowing he's probably having fun with this manhunt, rather than being panicked and looking over his shoulder.

Catch him!

I cannot believe this guy is still on the loose. He has to have more people helping them and I hope they get long sentences.

A couple of random snips:

A deep-rooted culture against sharing information with police could be hurting efforts to catch the man accused of killing an Orlando Police officer, officials and some high-crime area residents and leaders say.

The bitter irony is that it was Clayton's mission to build those relationships. She grew up poor in the same Orlando neighborhood as Loyd and dedicated her life to mentoring at-risk youth, helping with Stop the Violence rallies in Parramore and working to improve police relations with the public.

Bitter irony is right. I don't even know what to say. Master Sgt. Clayton seemed to have spent much of her career trying to break down the very walls that are now shielding her killer. I think at this point the only way ML is going to be found is when he starts shooting again. I hope to heaven I'm wrong.

I know it is hard for a lot of you to understand -- do I harbor criminals, or am I running crack lab (!) nope but I would stay away from cops don't like em trust em ,overall been a bad experience for my community - their fault not ours

It would be interesting social test to have; I only have one data point , but Justin (22) would prefer to have nothing to do with em - are either of us breaking the law of course not --

living above that homophobic young one last year did not help

I thought OPD had taken care of that with sensitivity training - he was one of the most homophobic human beings I have ever encountered - and what was so bad he was young

this guy has to be with family 100K is hard to refuse imo

maybe he is dead somewhere?/

(CNN)On the day she was laid to rest, Orlando police officer Debra Clayton received one final honor from her department. She was promoted to lieutenant.

Beautiful but heartbreaking video, too. :rose::rose:

Dozens of officers in tactical gear are searching a wooded area in Orlando. Again, unknown if related to search of Markeith Loyd. https://t.co/qYmEOltxve

Heavy law enforcement presence in Orlando. Unclear if related to search of Markeith Loyd. We'll continue to monitor. https://t.co/OVdfMDKOYt

Orange County Sheriff's Office Capt. Angelo Nieves asked media outlets not to air live coverage of the incident as they are dealing with a "barricaded incident," he said in an email.

Nieves later said the incident is unrelated to the manhunt for Markeith Loyd.

[...]

The Apopka standoff was happening at the same time as the funeral for Orange County deputy Norman Lewis, who was killed in a traffic crash Jan. 9, during the search for Loyd.

Watch over your brothers and sisters in uniform Deputy Lewis. And thank you for your service sir. :(

I'm sorry to hound on this, but, many of these people know what's right in their hearts, and need to be brave and come forward with information if they have it. This "us vs them" mentality needs to stop, this man is a murderer. Plain and simple. If you help hide him, you are saying you condone a woman killing, cop killing lowlife.

I saw earlier a most wanted fugitive had been caught. Hoping and praying it was Loyd. NOT! It was another bad man. I'm glad he was not able to escape across the border and kill more people in Mexico.

FBI Most Wanted fugitive arrested in El Paso

EL PASO — A Milwaukee double murder suspect listed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list was arrested in El Paso Sunday morning.

Terry A.D. Strickland, 24, was arrested by El Paso FBI agents and El Paso police officers in connection with the shooting of two men during a fight on July 17 at a home in Milwaukee, officials said. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail.
