Buxman is questioning Loyd's attack claims: “He bum rushed a man who, Ron told you, is bigger than he is, is heavier than he is, who he has information is armed with two guns, but the defendant wants you to believe Ron Stewart, the software engineer, bum rushed him.” #WFTV

Field Sutton‏Verified account @FSuttonWFTV 48m48 minutes ago
Buxman: “Ladies and gentlemen, that defies common sense. It defies logic to bum rush a human being who’s bigger and taller than you. His instinct was actually to get his sister to safety.” #WFTV

Buxman: “It’s not about who cheated on who, or who lied on who. This is about what happened when the defendant decided to shoot over and over again at people at that house on Long Peak Drive. That’s what this is about.” #WFTV #MarkeithLoyd

#LoydTrial / Buxman tells juors they should believe Dixon's brother: "Ronald Stuart's testimony is consistent with the physical evidence, it's consistent with other evidence in the case & it's consistent with common sense & logic. The defendant has given a very different version."

#LoydTrial // State is now reminding jurors of the last text Markeith Loyd sent to Sade Dixon after she was dead which in part read:
'I hope you don't make it.'

#LoydTrial / State's final word: "All of the death and all of the bloodshed...we ask that you hold him accountable for his actions and his choices," Buxman said. "If you look at the evidence and you apply to the law the evidence has proven this case beyond any reasonable doubt."

Haha not surprised at all that he let loose because he didn't have the last word. He did make one good point 'that he let her go in the house one time (when she went to get the gun) and didn't stop her so why would he stop her from going into the house if that's what she wanted to do.' Of course this is all bs. Ron didn't attack him and he was angry that Ron told him to leave. He was already angry and that tipped him over. Smh.

I think his attorney did a very good job. He was bullheaded just like his client wanted. He catered to ML. He put forward all the arguments that ML wanted and that was clear. If that's not a strong advocate I don't know what is. In the end, ML is done! His shooting spree days are over and he'll be in prison for the rest of his life. They will for sure give him the death penalty on the officer killing. Apparently there's video of him shooting her while she's on the ground. He's finished!

ML is never wrong, everybody else is. One thing that was funny was when his lawyer during closing arguments said his client "was guilty". They passed the lawyer a note and he corrected it. That's a hard one to take back though.

Jury has a question already! This jury makes me nervous!

  • #850
Jury questions:

1. What does enumerated felony mean in simple terms?
2. What is the difference between attempted felony murder and attempted manslaughter?

Jury has two questions:
1) What is an "enumerated felony?"
2) What is the difference between attempted murder and attempted manslaughter in count 4 of the indictment? #WFTV #MarkeithLoyd

#LoydTrial // Two juror questions: 1) What does an enumerated felony mean? 2) What is the difference between attempted felony murder and attempted manslaughter when it comes to count 4?
I believe this refers to shots at Dixon's mom: ATTEMPTED FELONY MURDER (ENUMERATED FELONY)

Field Sutton‏Verified account @FSuttonWFTV 32m32 minutes ago
They're discussing.
FYI, "enumerated felony" in this case refers to murder, or any lesser included offense. #WFTV #MarkeithLoyd

As we all wait for the #MarkeithLoyd verdict, members of Sade Dixon's family are sitting outside the courtroom with the state attorneys who tried this case; Ric Ridgway and Rich Buxman. Jury has been deliberating for about 3 hours now. @MyNews13 #News13Orange

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

enumerate

To enumerate is to list or count off one by one. Before you ask for a raise, you'd better be able to enumerate all the reasons why you deserve more money.

Tally, total, add up, compute — however you put it, enumerate is basically just another way to say "count." As in, "How do I love thee? Let me enumerate the ways."

enumerate - Dictionary Definition

Sounds like the jury is curious about how late they can deliberate into the night. Judge asks them if they're making progress. Says she sees a lot of heads shaking yes. Judge; "There is no pressure on you. Take as much time as you need to reach a verdict."

Seems jury was going to ask the court if there was a time limit for deliberations. Judge says latest they will go tonight is 8PM. She also said she will send dinner menu's to the jury as they keep deliberating. All jurors said they wanted to keep going.

The deputies will check in with them around 6pm and get them dinner. The judge will wait to check in with them between 7 and 7:30pm. The latest they'll be allowed to deliberate is 8pm, before adjourning to the hotel until tomorrow. #WFTV #MarkeithLoyd

Seriously, jury? What exactly is the debate? This is a slam dunk!

eta: Sometimes I think these narcissistic defendants testifying is a good idea for them. Because it can sway at least one person on the jury. If you have a suggestible person on the jury it could work. All this poor me and I'm the victim attitude seems ridiculous to all reasonable people but not everyone has that common sense. smh.
