Sara Gallagher, 44, was last seen near the intersection of Hypoluxo Road and Eastview Drive with her 9-year-old dog, Cooper, on

“My sister had reached out to my mom on Oct. 23, which is her birthday,” Joe Gallagher said.

After weeks of silence, the family became concerned. With only so much they could do from Pennsylvania, they requested a wellness check.

“It started to become clear, maybe mid-November, that people hadn’t seen her,” Joe Gallagher said.

Her brother said she was last dropped off near The Hive, a restaurant in Lake Worth Beach with her dog, which he said his sister loved very much.

“He’s got some marks on his back that make him very distinct looking, like lumps,” Joe Gallagher said.

“She’s the oldest and like a social butterfly that we all look to emulate in terms of how she can get along with anybody,”

As days turn into months, it's a trip Joe Gallagher wishes he had made. The Gallagher family were unaware that October would be the last time they would hear from their loved one

In reading this it sounds like the family didn't know where she was living (housing wise) or that was simply not conveyed clearly in the article. It just mentioned her being "dropped off" at a location. It made me wonder initially if she was unhoused.
I found a traffic ticket for her (attached) that showed in March she was driving a 2023 KIA (white) License 37KPP. Charge was a seatbelt violation only.
From Palm Beach County Court Records (where the traffic ticket and other documents can be viewed). eCaseView

Thank you, GraceG, for your post. That information helps this make a little more sense to me as to why this wasn’t a bigger story when it happened.

I hope that she and her pup are safe somewhere tonight, and that her family gets some information to help in their search very soon

Sara Eileen Gallagher, who is missing, is still listed as working in the Human Resources Department at Halifax Health where she has worked since 2013. This is a woman living in Lantana with an apartment and a long-term professional office job. She was not homeless. Her only run in with the law was the traffic ticket in March 2024 for driving without her seatbelt on. It sounds like real foul play here with her disappearance. I'd like to know if she took an Uber to The Hive restaurant and bar which is what is located very close to the intersection where they said she was last scene being "dropped off". The Hive has open patio tables and allows dogs so she likely was going there to eat and drink. Was she meeting someone? Have they obtained her text messages?

That would be great news if it had been an Uber. I was thinking it was an SO, and that we’re going to hear a story about getting into an argument, she got out of the car with the dog, and I never saw her again, blah, blah, blah.

Imo, somebody reported her missing, and somebody didn’t report her missing. Surely she has been missed locally by her employer and friends, etc., and equally surely, a tale had been told to explain her absence.

Eta: Welcome to Websleuths!

Yes, it could have been a SO and not an Uber/ride share that dropped her off. I am surprised the local news have not been reporting more about this woman's disappearance.

The whole thing is very strange. And it’s always disheartening when a missing person report comes so late, and it doesn’t come from someone physically close to the missing person. I’m sure her family are beside themselves. The “last seen” information came from somebody and was relayed to her brother. Who did it come from?

Still wondering why her absence from work didn't spark some activity here.
Yeah, I don’t believe that she didn’t show up one day, and everybody in her life just threw up their hands and said “whelp, no more Sara” and just moved on. Someone must have provided a narrative.

I don't think that's her employment profile because it says a different school she studied at in a different state on her Facebook and doesn't list graduating from UCF. I think this is her employment profile and looks more like her: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sara-gallagher-012442210

I'll delete if I am incorrect. Halifax Health is in Daytona mostly and she's missing from Palm Beach/Davie and that is several hours away.

Unfortunately there are many unanswered questions about her disappearance. I’m curious about the discovery yesterday in Juno Beach at pelican lake. A very quiet area due north of her last known location and a very large empty area just west of it looks eerily similar to Gilgo terrain. A desolate place for the ill minded.

Her last known location and Pelican Lake are both very close to the I-95.

In the public Palm Beach Missing Persons Facebook page, her brother posted a photo of Cooper, a tan pit Bull mix, and in response to a poster asking if rehabs had been checked he posted “ …we've called into any that she was previously in and have looked into the hospitals so far we have not be able to find anything. If you know of any to check off hand that would be a huge help”

Her Facebook page has an “it’s complicated “ relationship status and many photos of herself with the same man. None recent that are public.

She was last seen in Lantana which is far drive from Juno Beach.

I agree, this linkedin is hers, she describes the same employment on her FB page.

Here's what I found out this morning via the Palm Beach County Court records. She was evicted from her apartment July 5th 2024, but left voluntarily prior to date court provided. And THEN moved to Lantana. If you are local, then you know that it is not a good area. The property management company is listed as "Southeast Florida Management Inc" with an address in Miami Beach. The company does not have a SunBiz, which is concerning in itself, because these are condos that are individually owned, per Florida parcels search. I can't find much on the property owner, which is only listed as "apt 11". She may have gotten herself into some sort of trouble due to all the personal stresses of late. Does anybody know if she still has her Kia? Her DL was suspended in July as well for not paying the seat belt ticket. Palm Beach county animal control will never come pick up stray/lost dogs or cats unless deceased. (That's what i was told when i called them) I have a call into them to see if any deceased pitbull dogs were admitted since October. There isn't a lost or found report on the county site either.
There's a lingering question on my mind that I can't find any other information about. And that's her phone number, and who it's currently registered to. [Mod snip posting random person's name]

The name i get is Craig B.....no last name provided. Some information leads me to believe that she was either married or living with a man from Philadelphia, William Sherwood. Aka Sherwood X Williams, AKA William Gallagher....anybody know anything about that?
I'm local. Why do you think moving to Lantana is a bad idea? She has to live somewhere... Lantana isn't that bad. If she left early, she might avoid the stigma of finding a place after an eviction. Or, she took what she could get knowing the eviction would limit her choices.
