Argggghhhhh. Judge is granting the D time to enter exhibits and examine exhibits (suitcase and bat). Excusing jury for lunch.

Break for lunch. Start at 1 pm

I still can't believe this woman didn't take the plea.

Owens said SB might testify up to the end of the day.

I wonder how many delays he has in store.

Ugh, breaking for lunch. They'll be back at 1pm.
Enjoy that dry bologna sandwich, Sarah.
She and her attorney have over an hour to get their chit together.
She's not even on the stand yet and already being a PITA.
IMO.

She can't help it, it seems!

Do defendants still only get to eat jail food during a trial?

I was making a joke about them getting paid more. My humor makes me laugh but not everybody else........
I was surprised that Owens got 2 other attorneys to join him on his quest where success is against all odds and ever getting paid is the same odds.

Glad judge is covering all the bases- it's necessary to prevent any appeals. Soon SB and her evil self will be off to prison! moo

I think that if they are in custody (not out on bond), they are provided meals from the jail (sack lunches).

Owens is probably hoping for random hurricanes and other acts of god at this point.

I understand JT squeezed himself into the suitcase, but I'm looking forward to hearing how it was zipped closed.

Poor sap who drew the short straw, having to ask the judge to acquit or at least drop the M2 charge, wasn't exactly impassioned. Felt like: I know it doesn't sound like I don't believe it either, Judge, but couldya just?

The defense atty I just watched cross the detective did not seem like a well seasoned attorney. In fact, he sucked. JMOO

It looks like SB is going straight on the stand after this 10 min break.

I guess the 15 year plea deal is never coming back but I wouldn't be surprised if Owens wants to try one last time to ask the court if he can negotiate it with the State.

In rejecting the plea offer, Judge made it clear to SB what she was giving up, and there was no turning back!

Judge will have to poll SB all over again now.

State may object to photos being entered because IMO no foundation.

Owens is trying to say there was battering and SB was defending herself from perpetual fear of pending/imminent harm, but wants to IMO enter evidence of prior bad acts before establishing the self-defense. Circular. Underhanded.

They didn't even make a powerful case for dropping M2.

He's left with: SB did it on purpose. And she didn't do it on purpose (it wasn't intentional) and either way, she sunk.

I anticipate a rocky afternoon.

I would expect a few antics from Boone and her travelling circus of unpaid lawyers before the big girl prison key locks behind her.

Irony, even if LE used a ruse to get SB to come in for an interview, it doesn't change anything!

Sarah didn't have to talk to them. She didn't have to answer a single question.

JMO
I remember reading when LE would somehow contact wanted fugitives that they won something and to pick it up go to such and such place.
Once there they'd be arrested.

Or did I dream this? lol

You know the scene in The Devil Wears Prada, when Miranda says "Why is nobody ready?" in that amazing voice of hers?
It's currently on a loop in my brain.
I only wish that the jury knew why there is an early lunch today.
IMO.
