It’s a little early for popcorn here on the West Coast but my coffee and I are ready…

I’m watching on CourtTV and a commenter just mentioned that she seems to have a rapport with and trust in her counsel. I wonder if they’ve managed to get her to understand how she needs to come across on the stand.

She can come off like an angel sent straight down from heaven and it wouldn't erase the evidence that's already been presented. That's SB's problem now. There is no way that taking the stand can a) prove the point her defence team have tried to assert -or- b) improve her circumstances in any way at all.

In fact the best thing she could do is a full pelt confessional mea culpa, tell the real truth, and beg for mercy and lenience in her sentencing for 2nd degree murder.

Did the Defense's witness who didn't want to be filmed bail?

Bailing on SB on the stand?

No 'overt action' no expert?

Made the case that SB actually did do it on purpose --

Here we go.

I half expected defense reason to move for an acquittal was going to be my client either was an idiot or thinks everyone else is. Ok perhaps not a legal reason for an acquittal but is more realistic than anything else they said.

Judge is checking in *everything* with SB - reading her the small small print and asking if she understands. For example she has the right to remain silent etc.

She would have to be literally insane to take the stand.

The judge has a great voice and delivery.

Judge us reading the requisite law --

....right to remain silent...

But it's Sarah. She cannot not talk.

If SB does take the stand how long until she does a "crash & burn"?
It'll be before she enjoys her sack lunch, IMO.
But she'll think she nailed it.

If she takes the stand to testify she can be held in contempt or have her entire testimony scrapped if she refuses to answer questions or answers dishonestly.

Curious if the state knows if she decided not to take the stand, or it ain't over until the fat lady sings yes or no to take the stand?

OMG she is going to do it. SB has chosen to testify.

Instead of popcorn, have a PopTart ;)

That's just it. She's not insane. She's fully coherent. She's just so deeply disordered IMO that she doesn't know how crazy her behaviors are.
