I had Ashley Benefield/AB on my mind from an earlier comment.Who is AB?
We know that JT's parents do not hold hate in their hearts for defendant SB, or anybody else. They are larger humans than I could be in their situation. JMO
Was there an easy one? I could be remembering wrong but wasn't there the zipper with the paper clip or whatever it was and the other zipper was missing the tab altogether (no paper clip repair)? But that's memory from when state had the CSI photographer zip it up and I could well be mis-remembering. Did the demo just now show a second intact zipper tab? Sorry for so many questions, not sure when I'll be able to catch up and watch myself!IMO that night, SB didn't move the damaged zipper pull at all. She pulled the easy one until they met, or nearly met.

I expected them to demonstrate and hammer home her lack of credibility and propensity for lying and rightfully so. Jmo. Disappointed too. So much opportunity. If only Alan Jackson...I don't know what I expected from the cross exam of SB but it wasn't the little I got, unfortunately. Maybe the state was limited in what it could address, I don't know but I am disappointed.
Admittedly I just turned this back on a minute ago and have likely missed some important details, but from what I'm getting they were playing sword-fight with steak knives after she might or might not have cut his steak for him and also refused to have sex on top of the steak and potatoes as he wished and he might have been mad about that or perhaps just didn't like steak and so he stabbed her but then wouldn't let her call 911 and she nearly died and her lips were blue.
Man, if I had a nickel for every time that's happened to me. Definitely believable.
She was attempting to demonstrate with the stuck zipper and then the State pulled the easier one, stopping at a point. Asked Sarah if that was the right spot, to which she said sure, rather cavalier-like IMO.Was there an easy one? I don't get the prosecution's strategy and came away with not being clear what they were trying to prove beyond a reasonable doubt'.I expected them to demonstrate and hammer home her lack of credibility and propensity for lying and rightfully so. “Videotapes” made me chuckle.Prosecutor dfrove me crazy calling the SB videos "movies" - at first I couldn't figure out what he was talking about.

I was expecting the prosecution to go into the tortureous death JT experienced being locked in the suitcase and the total disregard she had for that and for his life, especially when he kept calling out her name and telling her that he "couldn't breathe."Was there an easy one? You're not alone.I was quite underwhelmed with the cross.
I'm not sure if they can cross her a second time after redirect. Perhaps someone else knows. To satisfy murder 2nd degree I believe they have to prove BARD she left him in there negligently knowing he was likely to die ( can't recall legal wording of the charge), failed to unzip him and deliberately left him there knowing he was running out of air. Any reasonable person would know this amounts to leaving someone to die. I think they should have done more on cross to question her about her malicious feelings of revenge if only to.highlight how her ( expected) denials on the stand would contradict with the video which indicates she was vengeful and wanted to teach him a lesson. JmoI don't get the prosecution's strategy and came away with not being clear what they were trying to prove beyond a reasonable doubt'.
Can they cross her after the defense is done with her tomorrow?

They can use their closing argument for all of that with good effect.I was expecting the prosecution to go into the tortureous death JT experienced being locked in the suitcase and the total disregard she had for that and for his life, especially when he kept calling out her name and telling her that he "couldn't breathe."
She had him falsely imprisoned and the state should have called that out to the jury.
Explained to the jury that his chest and breathing was compromised by the position he was in.
A big missed opportunity IMO.
Then again I am not a prosecutor!
