I thought there was another witness scheduled for tomorrow? Maybe that changed

Defense's next witness: SB's neighbor (PW)

According to Fox35 (yesterday) a doctor was scheduled to but that changed, apparently.

Defense is trying to draw out injuries to SB from the neighbor. Neighbor could see she was upset. Neighbor says it was on the weekends.

Objection over character (bad acts) -- side bar. Objection, sustained.

I am sure this witness is a very nice lady, but her testimony is pretty meaningless at this point. So what if SB treated her well? She was no threat to SB.

She saw SB with a black eye and other injuries. The lawyer is leading the witness. MOO

Well that was a complete waste of time.

I thought JT had to be with SB ALL THE TIME, so how was she able to walk the dogs alone on weekends?

She just sat outside at the porch and saw them come and go into the apartment complex. Sometimes, she saw her with injuries, but has no idea how or when they occurred.

Recess until the doctor (witness) arrives.

Judge admonishing members of the gallery to avoid viewing or filming the lawyers' laptops.

Total aside but I love that judges stand for jurors. Adds such dignity to the office they serve.

This judge, particularly gracious and grateful to them for their service.

Yeah I really like this judge. He's pretty easy going but stands for no nonsense.

When she talks about him putting his hand out of the suitcase, she makes it really clear that she didn’t want him to get out after their fun little game. I don’t know if she was too drunk to realize he could die or not. But she clearly didn’t want him out. And then I think she just passed out.

They both sound like a couple of violence-prone drunks and I do believe he abused her. But I also believe she abused him. In any case, the proper course of action with an abuser is not to suffocate them to death while taunting them. And I don’t give her a pass due to her very obvious intoxication. She’s guilty.

If she doesn't say SB is far into the Cluster B - Antisocial / BPD / Histrionic Personality - then she's assessed the wrong person IMO.

Educational records - well then I hope she mentions Grade A student.
