Now comes the Judge's scathing response. A thing of beauty for the students.

-- Attorneys again discuss expert testimony
-- Jurors are not present in the courtroom

I'm sorry that the State is responding. The Judge said it all. It is wise to know when to stop talking, State.

Owens called for acquittal due to prosecutorial misconduct. Them are fighting words! No doubt any Prosecutor worth his license is going to get the last word on the record. JMO

FINALLY jury coming back in and Owens has stopped talking... for now.

I cannot do it justice.

Unbelievably Owens returned volley, the Judge hasn't taken a breathe for two minutes. He knows the law, Owens is citing inapplicable law.

Owens finally gets to his point -- he doesn't want the witness to say that SB wasn't reporting imminent danger when she zipped the suitcase.

Judge denied it, again.

Jury entering.

I adore how quickly Judge K. said "DENIED." The words were barely out of Owens' mouth.

I was pleased to hear him defend himself. Was just reacting to following the Judge's statement.

Today has been WILD.

At this point if she loses it’s a guaranteed appeal. Right?

Would have loved to have been one of those HS students studying law in that courtroom. Learning a lot from such a professional well informed judge! moo

Judge gave the option twice to strike it off the record

It's procedural, they both know it's not going to happen. It's just to negotiate a lower option. MOO

Anyone else think that the criminal psychologist who testified for the defense yesterday (who met with SB 9 times) and ultimately assessed that SB had PTSD and not a personality disorder was totally hoodwinked by SB?

100% she's been Narced by the Narc, it's a tangle when you step into the Narc hall of smoke & mirrors

Can’t the state say they were ambushed by the BSS? They didn’t have time to prep for that.

The first lawyer referred the BSS psychologist. So can't claim ambushed. IMO

Would seem reasonable to me - the defence came in out of nowhere with a BS defence invented by some person Lenore Walker that doesn't even exist and guess what turns out LE is deceased so... :/

Indeed... because we know all too well what happens when outlandish defense counsel goes unchallenged, and those claims get repeated at the highest level, as if fact! Sometimes "The Rest of the Story" has a way of getting lost even when on the record.
