I agree that the State seemed a bit confident that Owens late entry to the game would be no contest, and admittance of the suitcase video would speak for the charges.

The defense adding self defense BSS to the mix raised the game for the State-- mostly as a matter of law where meeting the legal requirement means a mere "a scintilla of evidence."

That is why we are still here and why SB legally had to testify in her defense.

Granted, it's counter productive to becoming proficient at proving a liar, gaslighter, manipulator, to be all of the above when the same don't typically testify! MOO
I feel the state should have had a solid contingency plan and foreseen how that scintilla of evidence suggestive of a legally defined overt act, might be easily manufactured by this defendant. Prosecutors can't have failed to notice in their extensive court dealings over the years that SB has no problem with deception and fabrication. Jmo

We heard this before during cross -- SB would take JT's Identification (control his ability to cash his check), retain his birth certificate (i.e., replace his Identification). And when police arrive, she throws his ID in the bushes! SMH...

I dont understand your post above? Could you clarify, please? TIA

JT was telling the police officer that he had gone around to the house to collect his ID and his Birth Cert (which SB refused to give and also threw in the bushes)

Following which he also told the police officer that he cannot cash his checks because of SB. I assume he means work payment checks -or- social welfare payment checks.

He says he cannot cash them because SB has taken him off the Lease (of the house) and now he cannot cash his checks unless SB is together with him. I also assume this is because the banks or shops that cash checks need to see his current proof of address and his ID.

Omg this witch.
How about her "I love you" shout out to Jorge while he was cuffed in the LE car?

Even though he was drunk I feel he was able to be humanized while speaking with LE during a trial where his killer and her defense are trying to justify his death.

So,so sad for Jorge's family to have to endure this.

Yeah then told the cop not to listen to anything he says because he is a d. I agree, it sounded like Jorge was crying in the cop car. He showed more emotion in 5 minutes than Sarah Boone has this entire trial and every time the cops showed up.

SB is entirely exhausting.

On and off with the theatrics.

What a sad tale of two people.

It does cross my mind that since SB was the mother of a young child during all this time, she should have been forced into a court mandated dual diagnosis alcohol treatment center (residential, for a very long time) and it could have saved everyone a lot of money and a life.

No ID, no way to cash his check. No way to retrieve his ID because she took him off the lease, can't go in freely.

No doubt, she was controlling him on so many levels. He needed to bring her because she held his ID, in order to be able to cash it and likely she took control of the cashed out cash, too.

She wouldn't let him leave, kept his ID as insurance IMO.

The suitcase WAS NOT set out to be donated. IMO she MADE THAT UP. What she's not telling anyone, IMO JT was going to leave her. He placed to pack a suitcase and leave, instead she packed him into the suitcase and threw or dropped him down the stairs.
