A Northern Michigan University student was last seen walking outdoors in the bitter cold and snow around 3:25 a.m. Sunday in Marquette, police said.

Marquette Police
said Monday morning that Massey “appeared to be disoriented and having trouble walking” when he was last spotted by a surveillance camera at 3:25 a.m. Sunday in the area of East Baraga Avenue and the Founder’s Landing Boardwalk. He was wearing an olive green and black coat and dark pants.

Authorities believe Massey was attempting to walk home but never arrived.

The police department shared a shaded map of the area relevant to the search and asked residents and businesses in that area to check surveillance video footage from 3:25 a.m. Sunday onward for signs of Massey. They also asked residents to check their property, including vehicles and outbuildings, for signs of him.

Has it been stated where he was walking home "from"? Was the disorientation from being hypothermic after already being out too long for the conditions or had he been out with friends for a few drinks? The phots of the varous areas being searched show really brutal conditions. The temps were also pretty cold. https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/marquette/49855/february-weather/333678

His mom has posted though it is unconfirmed that he may have been at one or two bars in that general area until they closed at 2.
Since unverified, I'm just posting a map of the general area and the popular bars.

Several surveillance photos here. This article gives a last seen time of 3:08 am, and states that police believe he may have been trying to return to his residence on McMillan Street.

Very worried for this young man. This area is absolutely beautiful, but the winters are merciless.

Hoping for good news soon. Looks like tuff weather all around.
The "disoriented" comment is quite worrisome.

I'm worried as well. In some of the pics he looks to have snow all over his clothes, possible fall, climbing? Now there is a hole in the ice? Praying for Trenton and his family.
