Jorge loved his job at ACE. His neighborhood workplace was a casualty of Covid.
Maybe his brother is wearing one of JT’s shirts? In memory of, honor, and tribute? MOO

During one of the videos the prosecution showed yesterday, Jorge was wearing the exact same shirt his brother is wearing today.
Yes, I asked earlier if Jorge's bro was wearing the actual shirt belonging to Jorge.

@justin_schecker

So far during state’s closing argument
- Prosecutor stood next to suitcase, said this is where Jorge Torres Jr took last breaths/was murdered
- Read Jan 2020 text from #SarahBoone: “I’ll get rid of him and then I’ll be better”
- Said Battered spouse syndrome not license to kill

Reminds me of Edie Lutnick wearing her brother Gary’s sweatshirts after he died. So, so sad. It’s about as close to an embrace they’re going to get now.

Just wondering if the brother is as small as JT? He looks taller to me.

PLEASE -- Can the prosecutor please ask the Jurors why SB just didn't call 911 if she was so overcome with fear of JT who was already secured inside the suitcase!

Police could come and carry the suitcase away...
And drop off the suitcase at "Good Will" with Jorge in it.
He already had is papers and meds.

So sad and tragic, he was packing to leave her.

I would not be surprised if it was strategy by the state.
Not lost on the jury

Nice summary @arielilane …. thanks for helping keep us in the know.

And earlier pretty sure I heard the prosecution close saying also essentially:

Voluntary intoxication is not an excuse (or words to that effect) for second degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, or culpable negligence.

And he asked the jury: ‘are we sure that JT wasn’t the individual suffering from battered spouse syndrome?’

MOO

That was a great Q to ask the Jury!

If JT was a threat, how did he end up in the suitcase rather than her? SB is a liar. moo

Welp, we know she repeatedly punished Jorge for the time she called 911 and they both got arrested, seems that it remained an anxiety of hers and since he had marks on him from her doing whatever vicious brutal things she did besides zipping in the suitcase she probably knew she’d be arrested again.

That being said I think the prosecution would avoid asking why she didn’t call 911 with him in the suitcase because the defense would argue that the police arrested her once before for fighting back and the defense is characterizing everything she did that night as fighting back.

Except this event was hardly SB fighting back. This was SB starting the fight. SB being the aggressor. You can't claim self-defense when you are the aggressor. The prosecution isn't afraid of the outlandish allegations by the defense.

SB didn't need 911 when Jorge was in the suitcase and she said she feared for her life.
All she needed to do was unzip it a bit and run out the front door.

Mr. Cacciatore is a better presenter than Mr. Jay, IMO.

SB is entitled to a fair trial... and she got one. moo

Is he (Owens) the male version of SB? moo

Whew Owens is hot under the collar!

His claim is Jorge's mother left the courtroom crying so Sarah's right to a fair trial has been compromised. Oh, come ON.

OMG
Owen's has the "f" audacity to criticize the family during the suitcase recording.
He's blaming the state and wants a mistrial.
