GUILTY FL - Sasha Samsudean, 27, raped & murdered, Orlando, 17 Oct 2015

His LinkedIn states he was a pharmaceutical tech in the Armed forces. Could he have drugged her? In any event what a piece of crap. She probably felt safe that he was walking her back to her car. She was with "security". He deserves extra hell for that. So sad.

This brings tears to my eyes. Nobody who opens their heart in trust should ever so deceived. This man is pure evil.

I feel very sad for his wife too. What a nightmare for her.

I keep searching and can't find any new information on this case- but just today I found this article dated 12/16/15 which says Stephen Duxbury is hiring Casey Anthony's attorney Cheney Mason to defend him!!!

Anyone who knows how to search court records in Florida - the article says he was going to be arraigned in mid-December.

I'm surprised there's not more interest in this case as well. This scenario is one of those awful nightmares every woman fears, I think. it frightens me and I can't imagine how terrifying Sasha's last moments were at the hands of this creep who was supposed to protect her.

I agree about it being a worst nightmare situation.

I am glad though that if creeps are going to do things like this, at least they often get caught on video tape these days. In this case, that is good evidence, but his fingerprints in her apartment would probably be enough to get him convicted.

The family of a woman raped and strangled to death at a downtown apartment in 2015 filed a lawsuit Monday against the apartment complex and the security company that employed her alleged killer, court records say....

The 102-page lawsuit alleges that the apartment complex and Vital Security, which employed Duxbury, ignored other residents’ complaints calling him “sketchy” and said they felt “harassed” by him.

I've always wondered why this case never got more attention. It seems like it has all the makings of the type that get widespread coverage.

Defense wants statements thrown out in Sasha Samsudean homicide case

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-stephen-duxbury-police-statements-20171024-story.html

Lawyers argue Duxbury, 35, made involuntary statements to police because he feared losing his job as a security guard, the motion filed last week said.

Duxbury’s attorneys also are trying to get a polygraph test and subsequent interview with police tossed, according to the motion. Polygraph tests are often inadmissible as evidence.

The attorneys say Duxbury’s interview with police after the polygraph test is prejudicial because it is inferred he failed it.
