We discussed up thread that his sister was charged with second-degree murder from 12 6 2016. She pled guilty and the sentencing is tomorrow. Same jurisdiction. The court case is on the link above, that I found while I was browsing, and the case is 2016-CF-10531 at the link above. I don't think that case has a thread here, and I don't want to derail This Thread. Just an FYI.

Today, http://news4jax.com/ received discovery material in the case, including surveillance video, evidence photos, Rodarte’s interrogation by JSO, and texts between him and Savannah. It will be in their 6pm news, and on-line later this afternoon.

They had an 8 minute feed on their facebook leading up to their 6 pm lead story of this case. They showed photos of evidence, including a burn pit behind his home, gas cans, bleach etc. Again, for those interested, it will be livestreamed at the link above. NOTE: 56 minute interrogation video is embedded within the article, yet article states police finally got a statement from him, which was not released. It will remain confidential until the trial. Within hours of Rodarte’s statement, a dive team found Gold’s body, wrapped up, in a pond at the dead end of a Westside street.
At his home, crime scene investigators found knives, gasoline and bleach, as well as a fire pit.

The State Attorney’s Office released hundreds of crime scene photos, hours of surveillance video and a recording of Rodarte's interrogation by Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detectives to News4Jax on Thursday. The details are disturbing. Police said there was a struggle in his back seat and that she kicked the door open three times, but never got out.

Rodarte, 29, remains in the Duval County jail without bond on charges of murder and tampering with evidence. He is scheduled to be back in court on March 8.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Amber Camarillo broke down in tears when the sentence of 20 years was handed down.

It wrapped-up an emotional morning in court. Camarillo did not receive the maximum 35 years.....The sister of Amber Camarillo was also in court. The woman is also the sister of Lee Rodarte, the man accused of killing 21-year-old Savannah Gold in August 2017. First Coast News asked about the relationship among the siblings, but the sister said she was not close with Rodarte and did not have a comment on his case.

I believe that FPT stands for Final Pretrial Hearing, not sure what JS stands for.

On the link above, there are going to be 6 more depositions with JSO officers next week, adding to the 3 previous ones deposed on 3/6. I googled them, and only found an article with one officer's name linked on a case which was discussing Miranda rights given by JSO and their paperwork

"now referring to different Miranda Rights forms from different agencies. He said that the Jacksonville Sheriff&#8217;s Office form has nowhere for a person to acknowledge understanding his or her rights or that they understand they are being waived, while other agencies do. He&#8217;s attempting to show that the ommission of such language is intentional on the part of the Sheriff&#8217;s Office to mislead suspects into agreeing to be interviewed by police."

:bump: I haven't seen any reports. I wonder if they are still on track for a November trial. As shown above.

Could first date mean final pretrial and JS means jury selection?

Was first entered on 3/8, and now again on a 3/29 entry, the same verbiage of ,

Imho, this murder to trial, if it does happen in November, is fairly quick as far as the court system , or is more to normal. I don't think it is long at all as a trial follower.

Looking to others as far as their opinions, but to me, this is either standard or more towards the accelerated side.

As we have seen, the defense has taken time to do depositions on about? 9 people, imho
( thank God that all were in law enforcement, and none were coworkers..to date as shown on court records) and may have more information to investigate. Those are the rights of the accused.

That said, I expect more depositions, to prepare for mitigation, and we have not seen that yet. Imho

My heart goes out to all the people that may be called for depositions that will be subpoenaed for mitigation purposes prior to trial.

To date, it seems they have only done depositions on law enforcement to try to perhaps find some small thing that make it this kicked. Imho
